31F and partly cloudy @ 22:30, high only hit 38F here today. And today was likely be the last appearance of Old Sol for a few days. WU says we are under an active Storm Warning.
Saturday's high temp will not make it out of the single digits ...
Hopper feeder and two suet feeders refilled yesterday, plus cracked corn scattered on the ground. Woodpeckers seem to be enjoying that new tail feeder. Two very fat looking squirrels out there this afternoon, along with the usual assortment of birds.
Woman ran out to grocery yesterday to "get a few things" ... mainly marshmallow sauce, so She could make some kind of fudge. That ended up costing over $100 ...
She didn't have much luck with Her other shopping though.
Got the fishies fed while She was out and met her at the door when She returned to help unload the groceries.
Another 2" panel glued up and braced as well, really amazing the difference in temps between the panels and wall itself ... basically the panels are at room temp while the wall itself is probably at least 20F cooler. Should make things cozy once it's finished.
More sanding done.
More tools hauled down to the basement from the garage, think I've finally managed to collect up all the SDS Max bits in one place.
Late last night Woman said I should go out and get my "Christmas gift" from the trunk of the car since She wasn't able to sneak it in the house unobserved so I did.
Bottle of Kahlua ...
She even decided to get frisky and have a little nip herself ...
Researched casters for the woodworking table, along with the rest of the materials for the base.
Today She requested some some assistance with Christmas shopping so I got cleaned up and drug the razor across my face. Slid over to the barn before we headed out to TSC AND Menards and grabbed the measurements on that table top. Almost 40" wide by 72" long.
Did fairly well at both picking up some Christmas gifts.
Also picked up these casters for the woodworking table:
4" soft elastic rubber (non-marking) rated for 265 lbs. The locks stop the wheel from turning and the caster from spinning. Possible added bonus: matching blue plastic hubcaps to keep the dust out of the bearings.
Probably still need to go back down with the van to pick up the rest of the materials for the table base.
Headed over to Eadies Fish House after that for some dinner, was good as always.
On the way home we drove through a neighborhood down in Jackson Township and looked at all the lights. One house had what I would term "dripping icicle" light strips on their small trees out front ... they turned on and off sequentially from top to bottom. Kind of cute.
When we got home there were a couple more packages on the doorstep waiting for The Woman.
Hope everyone had a good Wednesday ...
