Good Afternoon currently 39°

PJ - I'm glad job is turning out to be what you wanted
Ron & LS -- great pic's

I went fishing on Sat. in a local lake & caught 97 -- crappie, white pearch, white bass, bream & largemouth bass. myself, son and my fishing buddy - from 1:00 to around 4:30 it was cold.

Then went to coast on Monday looking for trout, three of again and froze when the boat was moving and did not catch anything, not even a bite...was a bummer.

Have a great day..

Mark

I guess from my early years it was a clip and that sticks in my memory bank. In the old Royal Enfield rifles it was a clip that held the cartridges together and then you pushed them down into the rifle
That makes sense - old habits die hard!

I always wanted a Smelly bit i didn’t want to get into a caliber that did not easily cross over to other platforms.

"Hank Snow adapted it to American towns and then in 1966"

I heard way back Hank Snow was Canadian Mountie????

thanks Ted for taking more than one, literally and figuratively, for the team

I've never seen the Rockies. Still want to. Always seemed to be going North, South or East.
Wikipedia has a longish page on hank Snow, but no mention of him being a mountie. Hank Snow - Wikipedia
Wiki claims he was the one that introduced Elvis to the Colonel.

Earlier today picking up groceries there were a lot of police cars on the road and sitting in driveways. There was a story in our local paper about 70 people arrested for drunk driving in our small county last Saturday.
That I have never heard before. It was usually a handful or so. I don't know if it is because there are more drunks on the road or more enforcement. But if they arrest this many how many are there that they did not arrest driving drunk?
Someone into statistics could likely figure out that amounts to a lot of drunks on the road

I think Rich would be excited about selling equipment to the winning bidder for steel for the new Intel chip facility in Ohio. As much as 4 times the quantities used for the Eiffel Tower
Good to see that the project is moving ahead and we will be free from foreign dependency. This has impacted a lot af areas including new cars
The only thing about the new Intel plant, it will be 3-4 years before any chips make it out the door. Also, Intel doesn't make any chips for cars. At one point they made a bunch of stuff for Ford, but they don't any more.

I am left eye dominant but shoot with right eye looking at sights. Never seemed to matter.

I think I convinced son to drive tomorrow instead of Friday. I told him he might be skating up I81 Friday.

Fritz, is that old gas station on Rt 11?

My health insurance won’t pay for a test my son needed. They just say your plan doesn’t cover it. I find it hard to believe.
Course we find out after it’s done, and it did come out positive and he had to be treated.

Haven’t caught up on everyone yet.

LS, thanks for the offer. I won’t be pulling my camper that far, but if I’m in the area I’ll stop by and say high. I want to ride the cumbress railroad sometime, and would like to do Durango Silverton RR again.
Pegosa Springs get mentioned in western books. I’ve been thru it twice on 160.
I was looking at your route today on google maps.
Thanks for the pics.

I’ve got friends that work for Bechtel, I even interviewed with them once. They bid one of my projects once.
