Scotty hope flush test went well. Good luck with fab projects. Thanks Gasman.
I blew off the flush test. Back was aching from too much work in the ditch yesterday. Power snake is a deceiving name for a torture device. Tomorrow will be another day for flushing.
Did turn my attention to the tractor control modifications with some good luck. The 3 rear remotes are now set where I believe they will work much better. Original levers were darn near below the seat. They were short levers hard to move making for jerky often clumsy operation. It is nice to have all 3 bigger knobs in one hand where I can work any one any way easily anytime. The work platform in the Kubota and other small tractors are not designed with the operator in mind... one look at the treadle pedal will confirm that.
Back to work for a short week. And a bit of a family get together Thursday. Enjoy the holiday everybody.

Randy(wag) hope you get some Spring. Thought you were done with wood stacking.
I finished the '3 tonnes' by the house. There's another '6 tonnes' by a wooden shed that I use a covered side area for that.

I noticed, whilst having my morning coffee & pipe, that one of my boundary star-pickets was bent over at about a 45 degree angle so this arvo (before getting some stacking in) I went over to straighten it. Bugger. not only was it properly bent but one of the strands was broken. I'll have to mend that tomorrow.

A good amount of stacking occurred before a very slow moving weather front came up from the South. It had a greenish tinge to it and, sure enough, there was some pea-sized hail that came down.

The 'Mad (agisting) Horse Woman's Daughter' came after school and noticed that the horse in the adjacent paddock was lame, obviously from tangling with the bent/broken fence.

Right now sow is like 10 - 15 cm, very light & dry, practically powder. Yesterday was sunny, a bit colder.
I worked out from 1000 till 1500. Really lowed that. Jacket is good, gloves either. Should figure out face mask and decent trousers. My tractor is CUT without cabin...
Sorted builder junk - wood for my furnace, plastics junkyard takes in for free, for deposition XPS I have to pay (frankly peanuts). If all that junk is not sorted, then deposition is expensive.
Attached snow plow and broom to my tractor. Hydraulic quick connector on FEL for plow tilting was kinda rusty. gave me some hard time. And spilled some grams of hydraulic oil on my driveroad  But now cleaning yard out of snow is just a playing. really lowed how both implements are working. TBN have some specific thread on this, I will post more details there

Wife went back from her mother place. Because of snow quite a challenging drive for her, but all was good. She is quite used to winter driving and Tesla AWD runs on slippery roads surprisingly good.

Friend of mine sent to me this link.
It is always interesting to see how foreigners sees us.
To me this is too much "sugar and honey". IMHO in there they portrait us (our place) too shiny, we are not that good as they tray to say. ;)

But that's not bad, so you might spend good 1/2 hour to check on how we are living here

"The 'Mad (agisting) Horse Woman's Daughter' came after school and noticed that the horse in the adjacent paddock was lame, obviously from tangling with the bent/broken fence."

And the Daughter, upon further inspection found that the horse had cut himself. She called the owner, "Mad Horse Woman" and her Mum, "Mad (agisting) Horse Woman" and both came out.

Naturally, neither of them had any equine first aid kit and were very concerned. Well, it was 'Wagtail to the rescue' as I did have an equine first aid kit from when I had my own horses here. The horse is now 'patched up'. Both ladies agreed that they need to invest in a kit for themselves. <I quietly shook my head...> I mean, if you've got a horse, or any livestock/pets for that matter, it's too late to think about needing a first aid kit after the fact. It's always better to have it and not need it (as I did) than to need it and not have it.

It's no different than having several human first aid kits (home/vehicle/tractor/shed...) and fire extinguishers.

Wag, glad you could help with the injured horse. Nothing like being prepared and survey the fence for possible problems is always a good idea to prevent injuries.
Our new neighbor decided to get a couple of goats and they set up a wire fence very close to another wire fence. Goats climb up and one got the front leg wedged into the fence and broke the leg. The most important thing about goats is to have secure fencing. But city folks moving to the country seems to have to learn this the hard way

Up early today. Good morning, 20 and COLD for this area. Warmer weather on the way this week.
Today will have the foundation inspected for possible repairs. The rocks in the foundation have shifted some in one corner area.
Also today taking Cody in to the vet for the yearly checkup.
Continuing to seal up windows in the basement with one more yesterday. Making a frame of 1x2's and stapling 6 mill plastic on it and then wedge it into the window frame. 4 more windows to go in the basement

Having two hands out of commission at the same time is no fun but having the grandson around to fetch things could be of help. Good luck on recovery

17°, coldest morning this fall so far.

Woke up soaked in sweat again. So bathroom trip. And now another coughing marathon. Chest hurts from all the coughing, but it’s needed to get rid of the gunk.
Gotta call in sick with no sick time. Will see how this plays out.

My only motorcycle mishap, with almost no riding experience, was barely moving and turning around in the road, and the front tire slipped on ice and down we went, with my left elbow getting hurt. Nothing broke but was in sling for awhile. 2 of my brothers have motorcycle license but don’t think they ride much these days.

My boss probably at work already, but I’ll wait to call.

Coffee is done brewing. 18° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 39° mix of sun and clouds. Walkways are clear. Got all parts put together for Trac-Vac hose support. Need to do some house cleaning. Son is coming to my place for Thanksgiving. That will keep me busy most of the day.
I get a mix of birds at feeders.

Alien, they left fingers free to hold coffee cup. Get well soon.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.
