what kind of processor do you have in there Bill? Do you upgrade fairly often?mostly, yes all original fans. I bought it in 2009. It wasn't cheap, but as for fan longevity it is great.
When I replace computers I just get the parts and stuff them in this case. This case is also rigged for water cooling IF I was to go that way.
I am a firm believer in liquids and computers don't get along all that well and one tiny leak can cost me $2,000.oo in computer parts + labour.
My Dell has an I7-107000 @2.9ghz w/32gb ram (I have almost zero idea what that means)
what do you have big fella?
is there a free test online where you can test the power/throughput of your pc?
I think we got to the point a few years back where my pc went a lot faster than I did or needed.
Particularly now with a SSD.
So no longer a need to upgrade for speed or multitasking
When they make 8k video a reality for pc's, I'll upgrade my video board for that.
I'm in love with 4k on what I think is a 5k monitor.
But for a picture I could literally put my hand in, yes, I'd upgrade for that.
Lot cheaper to do it on your desktop than on your living room wall.
coffee's done, got to get showered and moving. I left the car in the garage so at least it won't be frosted over.
Hope those apples didn't get too cold. Got down to 33 last night inside garage. Probably a degree more in car?
Am glad the apple baskets have plastic inner liners which they tie over the top. Visions of strange bugs flying around in the car on Rt 95...
I found a UFO bug in my sink yesterday, knew it didn't come from here. Came in on something.
learned a long time ago not to swat at bugs while driving. Stop, take care of it, then drive. unless you're real lucky and it's crawling right near the window
where the wind will suck it out. Back you go.
