Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 4C and it's presently 19.5C, calm and sunny. There was 2mm in the gauge at 0900.

No problems at the Dentist's yesterday arvo and we'll see you in 6 months. Last evening's meeting went well. A very yummy baked fish on Thai green curry with a side of coconut rice prior to the meeting. Got home by 2200.

I hope to finish the house wood stacking, rake/clean the lawn where the wood had been dumped and then string-trim around the house in anticipation of a Z-turn mow around the house. (cross-fingers the weather holds)

That's about it, take care all.

that sounds pretty good Wagtail if the curry wasn't too hot. I love to cook with a little curry. Too much can overwhelm things.
is a green curry extra hot?
not a good thing for my acid reflux...

never made coconut rice. Sounds sweet and aromatic.

Thai green curry is usually mild, unless you ask for an extra 'kick' to be added. It's certainly not like an Indian curry. It's a wee bit sweet with a bit of coconut milk mixed in. The side dish of coconut rice can be eaten separate or mixed in with the curry.

The Thai red curry is the one that can be spicy. Again, you can always ask them to 'kick it up a notch'.

If you're never tried Thai food, I'd recommend a beef Massaman curry which is very much like slow-cooker stew. There's usually potatoes in it, it's very mild yet flavoursome and a side dish of rice will compliment it.

I remember an Indian restaurant (back when I was posted to Melbourne, VIC) that listed their spiciness levels as: Wife Hot, Mother-in-Law Hot or Volcano! 😄

good morning all
up early, slept well
cold day, high of 45

headed out late morning to pick up my load of apples, seven little baskets to take down South.
Then get gas and home to work on the leaves and maybe cleaning out frozen veggie garden.

I miss Roy this time of day. Tip of the coffee cup to you Roy.

got another bird feeder in yesterday, need to hang it today. That will be four feeders.
These new ones are on 8 foot shepherd's hooks, will be curious to see if squirrels try to climb.
I don't think there's a more creative critter when it comes to finding food.
last feeder comes in today, fancier one rated squirrel proof with internal wire mesh.
I have several of my own home made feeders out, but the birds seem to like the cheap plastic 9 dollar hanging feeder the best.

doesnt matter what weather will be, later with kids we are going to parade.

BTW - ship from US coast guard is here as a part of parade, I guess. Riga is privileged to to have port in city center, where parades are held

Drinking first cup of very hot coffee. 27° with snow showers this morning. Heading to 31° with flurries and wind. I still have not brought shovels and ice melt to house. Put it on top of list for today. I did get my snxw boots out. Worked on Trac-Vac. But got side tracked coming up with new hose support for hand operated pickup attachment. Dr visit was for a blood draw. Nurse could not get a vein for blood. Tried 2 times. Sent me down to laboratory. Nurse there took only one try and done. Will get walkways cleaned up today.
I like the color of House Wren.

Hope all those in NY do not get the forecasted snow. NFL has moved the Buffalo game to Detroit because of forecast.

Drew, Squirrels will climb the shepherd poles. I put 6" X 2' round heat duct on my poles. Fun to watch squirrels try to get up to feeder.

David, I did a Sam's Club run yesterday. Spent less that $30. Could not figure out what was wrong. Then remembered I went Monday. Over $100 spent that day.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.
