Damned if I didn't take another fall yesterday. I was stepping up on our concrete front "deck", Briefcase in one hand, 12 pack of beer in the other (no, hadn't had any beer yet, and off the whiskey for a while). Lost my balance (right leg below the knee doesn't work too well) and down I went. It's always a slow-motion fall and most times I can roll away from serious damage.
On blood thinners, so that didn't help.... bleeding like a pig.
Anyway, crawled into the house and used a chair to stand back up. No permanent damage and the bad right leg has let go more than once in the last 22 years (when I had my stroke in 1999).
Couple Band-Aids and some antiseptic, I was fine.
Not fun, but it's amazing what one can get used to...even falling.
Wmy neighbor and his sonorking from home today...hope I didn't damage my company laptop in the fall. I'll find out in about 20 minutes
I'd written a few days ago my neighbor and his son took that tree down and did a lot of trimming. I need to get to the bank to get some money (figure $200 each) for them.... they won't want to accept, but I'll be insisting
