68F and a rain shower @ 19:00, heading down to a low of 67F overnight. Calling for around 0.42" of precip tonight and another 0.29" tomorrow day and 0.22" tomorrow night.
Made decent progress today, although I'm completely covered in dust at this point.
Soil screen and screenings relocated first thing (yes - it's portable !):
More raking done + more of the junk wood pile moved to the woods, this is all that's left:
Barely a bucketload ... but they're still swarming around it so I know the comb/nest is still in there.
All the junk wood that was moved and piled up along the edge of the woods:
Oak and pine logs that were saved for firewood:
Pile of split oak that was relocated so it can be palletized (and rain moving in):
Ran down to the corner and picked up some gas for the Cub and diesel for the Kubota, refueled the 'Bota before I started tilling ...
Food plot area after two passes with the tiller:
Was just about finished with the third pass when the rain started coming down pretty good so I called it quits and headed for the barn.
Not too much left to do in terms of prep, other than recover those Ohio "glacial potatoes" ... of which there are easily a bucketload and maybe grade it out with the landscape rake.
All in all a decent day production-wise.
Woman brought me a hot sausage sandwich and salad from the local pizza joint.
Will eat and then grab a shower to get the crud off.
Hope everyone had a great Saturday ...
