Good Morning.
It’s 75 outside, dew point is 73, outside of windows are covered in condensation. Makes me wonder how effective triple pane glazing is.
Going to the middle 80’s with a chance of rain and thunderstorms today.
Yesterday I got an early start with the string trimmer, I got about 500 feet of fence done, which is actually 1000 feet of trimming because I’ve got to do doth sides. I’m really impressed with the Makita trimmer. I used up 2 5ah batteries, and about 25% of a third. Probably had to reload line 3 times. I’m using Echo .095 twisted square line, which cuts better and lasts a lot longer than the .060 round line that came with it. So far there doesn’t seem to be any I’ll effects from the heavier line.
Next in the rotation was the Lazer, it did a great job of mulching the stuff the string trimmer cut. And trimmed around everything that was going to be a challenge for the 16’ pull behind Progressive.
By now it was as Hot as Drew said it was outside. So it felt great to get the tractor out of the air conditioned shop and hook it up to the mower and start mowing. Makes a big difference getting into it if it’s not already heat soaked.
Finished mowing, and went out to a late lunch, and picked up Emily’s stone from my buddy that sandblasted it. It came out great, but it’s got my wife’s pet name for her on it which isn’t necessarily family friendly to post here.
Today the boys in the band are coming over around 11 for a rehearsal for a gig next Saturday. This evening I’m hoping to load some Boston Butts into the smoker for Pulled Pork. They will cook overnight and should be ready for lunch tomorrow.
Drew, as good as muffins sound, I’ve also sworn of carbs, trying to reduce my actual footprint. But I’ll send you home with some pork.
