Good morning!!!!

Morning all, 70 --> 74 rain off/on today is what they are saying.
Planted the wifes Dahlia and some general cleanup, but had to work last night til 10pm.
All went well, one more late night next Friday.

Newbury - I use a wrist monitor. I found the one right position where it reads correctly, and other angle etc. and it is off. These things are touchy-glad it was the monitor and not something else.

Mostly - check Bottom Bracket for clicking - had one of my bikes do that- disassembled BB and lubed. Took me forever to figure that out. your click may be different, mine did not speed up/slow down. Seemed to be side to side movement.

Buppies - sounds like the best resolution- glad nothing more than that. Heal quickly!

Alien 2 hp in a small plane - bet that can really move. My Uncle had a model Biplane that was probably 6-7 foot wingspan (I was a little kid, my have been bigger or smaller). He used to go down to Sheepshead bay Brooklyn and meet up with the club there. They would have mock battles with the model boat club. One guy had a plane that dropped "bombs" and had four engines. Even with the wings off he needed a trailer to bring that plane.

LS - Happy birthday to GD and EDIL.

I remember the drills-our school did not have a big basement-so we just got under the desks. I am sure they were not armored or radiation proof ...

Going to fix the firewood racks and maybe split some wood if the rain holds off. Probably find more garter snakes, so it's leather clove time.

Stay safe and be well,

Our school had tall windows in all the class rooms. good light. I think we would have been safer down in the band room. It had no windows and was in the basement.

Good Morning!!!! 72F @ 7:15AM. Mostly sunny. Very hot. High near 100F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph.
Tonight's forecast is calling for rain showers, but only a 50% chance. I guess that means it will either rain or it won't.

The new job sounds a bit overwhelming, Kyle, but it also sounds like it's full of opportunity. Management must have seen something in you that would make the company better, and all you have to do is show them what it is...

The first and last model airplane I ever tried to fly had a Cox 049 engine in it and a control handle with two strings. It got almost all the way around before I managed to nose dive it and watched the pieces scatter across the yard. Maybe that's why I still feel a sense of dread on every drone flight?

The teacher called them "duck and cover", Don. That and Sputnik cast a fearful shadow over my childhood.

Enough hide and seek, Eric. Your tractor buddies miss you...

Got some seat time yesterday moving the rest of the limbed trees into one pile well away from the house. I'll wait until tomorrow to gather up the last of the trees that the dozer knocked over, hoping for a little ran tonight to dampen the grass a bit.

I think this morning I'll limb up a few more downed trees and finish building a brush pile that'll just sit there all summer until it starts raining again. Then probably more paperwork this afternoon, inside with the A/C going.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Good Morning.
It’s 68, overcast and likely to rain soon.

With that in mind, I got going early this morning, got the mowing finished up that I started yesterday and got the rebuilt mailbox installed.

Yesterday’s trip to Concord was effortless, beautiful day, good views of Manhattan. We could see the Atlantic Ocean as soon as we took off. And the best part was that we were back by 10am and heading home.

I had the post hole auger on the loader, so I had to take that off, and rig up a 4 wheel dolly to store it, because I need a bucket on the loader to remove it from the tractor. Got all that done, and hitched up the Progressive mower and got everything cut with that. Parked it, refueled the tractor, and hopped on the Lazer until I got hungry. After a quick dinner I did the final assembly and graphics on the mailbox before putting my feet up.

A rats nest of transmitters and chargers.

I guess I really ought to think about pulling them out of mothballs, or at least a couple of them. Sure would keep the grandson amused as well.

Popgadget, your work just amazes me.

Got burn pile of shed wood going, no wind and light rain. 64° and 91% humidity.
Better go stoke the fire.

That's a nice looking mailbox. I probably should hose the purple bird poop off my mailbox (darned mulberries) but it never looked that nice even when it was new.

ok, time to stump the stars
saw a new veggie today
anyone know what this is?
it's not a bean...

stumped? Garlic scape.
huh? never heard of it....

What are garlic scapes? Garlic scapes are the tender stem and flower bud of a hardneck garlic plant. (Hardneck garlic is the kind of garlic that typically grows in Canada and the northeastern U.S.) Scapes first grow straight out of the garlic bulb, then coil. When harvested, they look like long, curly green beans.

66°F and no rain

Plan for the day is to borrow Sophie’s BX and get some outside mowing
Make a run to town this afternoon which would include getting shear bolts for flail and trip to brewery.
Squeeze in my initial piano session, but I think my only headphones are Bluetooth. My investigative plunking yesterday didn’t go well with the furry kids.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

It's just their policy. The time they did it they had me wait in the waiting room for about half an hour, then they took it again and all was fine.

Sophie tends towards white coat syndrome. When we lived in Atlanta her Dr had her getting her BP daily at the firehouse really close to our house and didn’t involve Atlanta traffic to get there. Not uncommon for her to get it checked twice in a visit.
