Enjoy those purrs RS, they are special.
They are ... and I am.

because they were only planted last year my daffodils came in late. I will plant more, but this time will supplement the yellow with other varieties.
The ones we have here are mostly all yellow ... but we do have some white ones with yellow center cones.

I have those two big stumps out front that need flowers on them, but they just put up another frost warning and I've frozen stuff outside already.
So I will wait another week.

(y)

I think after this morning we are in the clear ... no more freezing or below temps in the Ten Day. Hopefully we are done for the season.

I can't image all the flowers coming up or about to come up at RS's home
Pretty sure you are going to need to man up your fencing game.
It's in the plan ... but mostly for the garden area.

Those deer will eat whatever they can reach. And you sure have plenty of deer.
Um, the deer you are feeding all the time. And you think if you put feed over there they won't come over here to your juicy hosta.
better get some fencing.
The area with the tulips, many of the daffodils, iris, peonies, and day lilies is already electrically fenced (on three sides)

I'm actually surprised at how well everything has fared.

Other than the hosta, most of the attempts appear to have been out of curiosity ... and usually once they get ahold of something they spit it back out. They can still do a lot of damage though.

The green leaves of the irises may look inviting but they are awfully tough.

The Stella D'Oro day lilies are supposed to be deer-resistant ... which I assume means they don't care for the taste or smell. They don't appear to have messed with those much if at all, and they are mostly in an unfenced area.

Part of the strategy will be to incorporate aromatic plants - like lavender and others - which have a smell they don't care for.

46°F and light rain this morning, going up to 58° today, with rain throughout most of it.

The boy is finally getting his truck back from the body shop today, where it's been since he wrecked it eight months ago. I was starting to wonder if that place is run by a relative of RNG's infamous former mechanic.

Oops happens, Roy. I once watched my rear blade tilt forward as I was driving away. In my struggles to get the lift arms off the pins, I neglected to disconnect the top link. Pulled it right over.

I have one of those HF grinders with the paddle switch, Ken. I like it.

In the "didn't even know this thing existed, and now I can't live without one" department, I ordered a pneumatic chamfering tool yesterday to take the burrs off parts after they've been cut to shape.

I saw that in the jack video as well, it was on my list to research, but now I’m going straight to Amazon!
I’m curious as to what the Sheriff has to say.

Good Morning.
Just got home from yesterday’s postponed breakfast.
It’s 44 now, 38 when I left and looks like a high of 55 under sunny skies.

The 2 inches of rain that we got Sunday night sure slowed the drying process. I’d love to be able to get the tractor and big mower out, but I would rut some areas up for sure.

Got all the speakers shipped yesterday, had a zoom meeting with the TSA, and dabbled in some paperwork, but today, I’m just going to do whatever I feel like.

Not sure what that might be yet, but it will be entertaining. Might start with ordering a deburring tool.

My heart goes out to anyone that has lost a pet, or dealing with one that is faltering. I’ve said before that their mortality is something that we ignore when we take them into our lives, and isn’t easy to accept as they near the end of theirs.

Up to 52 after a low of 35, high around 60. At least the wind is down to 10-15, I’m so tired of higher winds. I’ve lost two really nice American made flags since late fall because of the wind. I’ve had a new one for a month but I ain’t putting it up until this pattern changes.
My grass needs the third mowing but it’s going to wait for a warmer day.
Had a deer and two turkeys in the back this morning. I use to see a lot more than in recent years.

It's been very windy here as well this Spring, Randy. We just put ours back up a couple of days ago after about two weeks down.

Just got off the phone with the deputy, and I'm being served with small claims paperwork from the solar contractor. This should be good.
