Good Morning!!!! 56F @ 5:00AM. Sun and clouds mixed. High 81F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph.
No rain in the 10-day, and we'll see 90s by mid week.
Marvin Gaye would have been 83 today if his father hadn't shot him to death.
The new alligator variant is showing up in local statistics, so that booster was well timed. Still masking, sanitizing, and distancing in public, but it doesn't seem like anyone else is.
Congrats on the full recovery, Don. You sure worked hard at it!
Back tap worked fine here, thanks for passing that along. But I just updated to iOS 15.4.1, so maybe that helped.
I've heard that story before, Kyle. I kept the last screw I dug out of a motorcycle tire, and it rides along with me as a talisman against future punctures. It's been working more than fifteen years now. Hope I didn't just jinx myself.
Glad you freed up the tractor, Doug. Is more flooding on the way?
Very unusual sky, Mike. Great photo!
I wonder if that card reader had been compromised, Randy. Might want to check the balance on that credit card for fraudulent charges.
I ran into the gold ring scam a couple months ago in the grocery store parking lot, Bird. Hard to believe people are still falling for stuff like that.
I felt a bit achy and tired yesterday, so put off working with the chainsaw. I did play around with the spreadsheet for the driveway, and figured there's enough room to reduce the gradient to 10%. But I estimate we'll have to move some 500 cubic yards of dirt and rock to do it. So it looks like this job will be done after we've made our best effort, or spent enough money to hurt.
A few weeks ago I got a reply to my call for help on the van no-start problem, suggesting I remove and clean the crank position sensor. So yesterday I watched a YouTube video that showed me where it was, and one bolt later it was out. The end was dirty, but with a pattern, and it may have been metal dust sticking to it which would cause it to read wrong. Put it back in and the engine started much quicker than I've ever seen before, so maybe that was the problem. But it seems too simple to be it. So I think today I'll pull it back out and watch some continuity tests on the meter while I wiggle wires and look for melted or damaged insulation. Another suggestion was a bad coil, so I got one of those on the way to carry as a spare, too.
The tires I ordered Wednesday showed up yesterday. That's some quick service, but they probably drop shipped from someplace very close. Yep, UPS tracking sez it came from Sparks, Nevada, just over the hill.
Hope everyone enjoys a great weekend!
