Man what a day

Cooled off pretty good yesterday. Today was a high of 30°.
And another storm came through. Was about 80 miles from home today to handle a service call.
Got to the quarry around 11:15am. And it started sleeting.
Finished up and left the jobsite about noon. At this point there was an inch of slush and ice on the gravel.
Poked my way down out of the hills into town. And boy did it open up.
We had a tri-fecta with the weather.
It started pouring down freezing rain and sleet. As well as thundering and lightening.

Took me 1.5 hrs to travel the 30 miles to interstate through 6" of slush and crud.
Then another 1.5 hrs to travel the 50 miles home.
I texted my boss when I stopped before getting on the interstate to clear the windshield wipers. They were sitting about 3" off the glass due to ice build up.
