Well, as predicted, 20 people are stranded on ice flows in Lake Erie. They just refuse to listen

And the weather people really missed it. Was supposed to get to 37, never got past 30 today. But it was sunny all day which helped.

We chipped ice this afternoon so we could get doors open to the barn. The geese and ducks were really happy to get outside in the pen

Got to 37° here.
Love trash day, piled a bunch out by the road, and hope it all magically disappears tomorrow. . Cleaning out the shed 2 bags a week.

Church went back to classes and normal worship again. And a meeting this afternoon.

good morning all
looks like a crummy day ahead, 30 going up to 36 in freezing rain this afternoon.
Before that shows up, headed downtown, need to run the truck, probably will get some gas
and a few things at store.
I'm finding if I microwave the large blue heat wrap I have for two minutes, then wrap it over my winter coat around my neck, I stay
warm enough until the car heater kicks on many minutes later. Thankfully the seat and steering wheel heaters come on quickly but that leather seat
is mighty cold to start.

That to me is one of the few advantages of leaving a car or truck outdoors. You can remote start it and warm it up. I'd never let an engine run in a garage even with
doors open. Not when stuff that can kill you is odorless.

I enjoy remote starting the truck just to hear the exhaust. A cross between a bark and a rumble sounding like barrrroooooommmm.
I admit I never get tired of it. To be replaced someday soon I'm sure with a buzz and a beep.

Good morning, low temp 22 and high to 25°F. wind ESE 9 mph. Flurries.
The big storm we were supposed to get didn't happen. (n)
Supposed to be another one later in the week. We will see.

The battery on the Jeep is up to 90%, so I think it is charged enough to start the old girl now.

As long as we talk about our dead pets, they are not really dead, they are alive in our hearts.

It should get warm enough to change out the fuel sending unit today and maybe install the horn in the tractor, too.

IF I don't do that, then it will be an energy conservation day.

Don, although it doesn't sound like I sympathize with you over your fall on your rebuilt knee, I really do. I do know what happens when we get careless and the pain associated with said carelessness. Ice is a ***** to walk on at the best of times, and worse when your knees don't work right.

Have a safe day all
