some of us have rhythm and some of us don't. I never did. Couldn't sing all that well, never could play an instrument, and never
mastered more than a slow dance. Awful, awful memories of trying to learn how to do disco, with a group of friends.
I was the electrocuted chicken. The spastic duck. I look at folks doing the bossa nova or any of the latin dances where everything seems to flow
like they were all running on well oiled ball bearings. I watched my friends gliding along to Saturday Night Fever and under the blinking disco ball
it was not a good time. If I ever get back on a cruise ship again, which I hope to, might take some dance lessons.

Well, let's see. Limbo is sure out. No dips for me.

If any of you still get out and dance with your wives, I really envy you. Mine used to appreciate it so much, even if I did look foolish.
happy wife, happy world

I bet Don has some great senior dancers in his neighborhood.

Rip, eagle pics would be cool. Yesterday was great. Today just a washout.

Morning all from rain central, 37 and gong up.

Son did really well at talent show, good turnout, 100's of kids. Huge auditorium was filled.
Two girls played/sang their own compositions and a comedian won.
Actually was amazed at how talented the kids were and how well done the show was.

Mostly - sorry to hear about you BIL, condolences. Hope your sister recovers well.ea

My Grandmother was from Denver. Her father and brother came over in the late 1800's.
The brother was a boxer and my GGG owned a wrecking yard. I've only been to Denver once and saw my Grandma's old house, not in a nice part of town now.

stay safe and be well,

daugen said, "some of us have rhythm and some of us don't. I never did. Couldn't sing all that well, never could play an instrument, and never mastered more than a slow dance."

Sounds as if you were talking about ME! I took piano lessons from a couple of local old ladies in my pre-teen days, attended the three week Stamps Quartet school of music in Dallas a couple of years, even took lessons during one of those three week courses from Easmon Napier, who was the piano player for the Stamps Quartet at that time. I guess you'd have to say I had desire but lacked talent.:(:( Never could sing very well either, maybe because I only wanted to sing BASS and don't have the vocal cords for that.

Good morning.
It’s 37 and going to top 50 in rain today. Supposed to rain all day and overnight. Temperatures won’t drop until tomorrow afternoon, so this will likely be an all rain event for us, with it freezing as it ends. But we won’t really know until Saturday. Weather reporting is much more accurate than forecasting.

I was able to avoid government paperwork all day, took care of other projects instead. My trip to the courthouse cost me a Gerber keychain tool. The security screeners decided it was a knife and I could forfeit it or take it back to my car. Car was in parking garage a half mile away and sheriff’s office closed in 20 minutes. I asked if I could check it with them, like I could with a hand gun, and they said no, it wasn’t a gun. I gave up and gave it to them. I’m glad that I remembered to leave my Swiss Army knife in the car though.

My welding table project went well. I drilled a matrix 3/4” holes in the 3/4” thick top of the table with a magnetic base drill press. The annular cutter did a nice job of cutting the holes. They were clean, and not oversized.

The holes were to accept clamps made out of harbor freight bar clamps.

They were cut and welded to pieces of 3/4” rod that had a steep taper turned on one end.

The end result was that I can now clamp things up much easier for welding or assembly with a series of holes that are aligned and square to make positioning easy. And most importantly, kept me away from doing paperwork.

I don’t think I’ll be able to dodge it today…….

Good Morning!!!! 52F @ 5:00AM. Sun and clouds mixed. High 63F. Winds light and variable.

I'm right there with you when it comes to dancing, Drew. Even after a couple months of lessons, the best I could do was a fair imitation of a spastic chicken.

Good you're getting some moisture, Ted, and even better you don't have to go anywhere in it.

Hope the rest of you folks in the snow and ice fare well through it.

Had a house mate once that made peach brandy in the fireplace during the summer. Really stunk up the place, but it sure tasted good.

News headlines out of nearby Oroville this morning detailing a shooting spree on a Grayhound bus that injured four and killed one. The shooter was apprehended close by at a Walmart. Just another reason to stay away from Oroville.

Ran errands in town yesterday, one of which was to drop off the Ford brake caliper cores at the post office. Each one went off in one of those flat rate "if it fits, it ships" boxes, to the tune of $21. The core fee was only $35, so I'm not sure I broke even when I throw in a few gallons of Diesel at close to $5/gallon. I did get the cam follower, and got it installed and most of the engine buttoned back up. Stll a few more things to do to get it running, though. Finished packing and loading the other bike, hoping to get on the road by 7AM or so. Today will be freeway to start, then small roads for the last half, this time more inland. The weekend we'll see what we can find in Morro Bay, on the coast.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'.

Good morning

38° now highs in the mid 40’s cloudy off and on rain winds SW 5 to 10 mph. Steady rain later today and over night then sleet and freezing rain ending with snow tomorrow afternoon. Should be interesting. Only 44 more days till spring!

Not much planned for today just take blower off BX and put the plow back on.

I pulled the belt cover on the ariens to
put the drive belt back on and move it to the shed and take it apart to see what damage was done after eating the padlock. Wouldn’t start again, the carb has some issues so it wasn’t the wire that was disconnected which makes more sense anyway. Put a spare plug in and got running and moved to the shed.
I’ll deal with this when it’s warmer. After 18 yrs of no problems and just regular maintenance I have no complaints.

Everyone dealing with bad weather stay safe.
Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning! 27 with freezing rain. That may be the high for today.

Everything is coated in ice. I have salted the sidewalk twice already. Takes a lot of careful steps to get to the garage. Put some salt on the upper part of the driveway, but don’t expect it to do much. Try again later.

We are both staying home. Just not worth the risk.

Everyone stay safe out there!
