32° with high of 36°. Maybe 40s tomorrow before the cold comes in again. High 25° Friday, low in low teens.

Calling for 1” snow Thursday morning, some more inches coming this weekend.

Old 9 yo computer ran better after last update to latest win10. Removed a bunch of programs also. It’s an I7 with decent memory, but when windows wants to update, it seems they purposely make them crawl to force the update. Only 1 USB port works on it, which is why I got new computer.

Had one of neighbor cats in playing with our new cat, they had fun. Our old cat even came around to check them out, and let them both know he is boss.

Didn’t go anywhere yesterday, never started a vehicle nor tractor. I didn’t even step outside, wind was brutal cold. Hope roads ok.

32 outside this AM. Refreeze on top of everything that was left over from the storm this weekend.

Throttling back on everything personal this weekend and will keep doing so for the foreseeable future. Boss called and wants more hours to cover recent retirees. Will oblige.

Hope all have a great day. And a good start to the work week. Be safe.

Morning all, 32 and not too bad out. Got icy/snowy last night, but very windy.
Wind dried out the ice patches. So nothing for me to do.

Stay safe and be well,

Good Morning!!!! 46F @ 4:30AM. Sun and clouds mixed. High near 60F. Winds light and variable.
Still no rain in the 10-day, another broken record forecast.

OK, Kyle, here's proof solipsism is a false belief. Otherwise, you wouldn't be reading all of our comments here on TBN.
"In a solipsistic position, a person only believes their mind or self is sure to exist. This is part of self-existence theory or the view of the self. Solipsism as a belief is about the self perceiving the world as what the self believes the world is."

Makes you wonder what those monuments looked like in ancient times, doesn't it, Ken?

In addition to getting the new chainsaw sprocket on order yesterday, I talked to a tech at Summit Hydraulics about the malfunctioning quick coupler, and he offered to send me a new one, free. That's good service, especially since it was 18 months after the sale.

Replacement of the brake pads and rotors went pretty much as expected yesterday. Truck parts are a LOT heavier than motorcycle parts, though, and I'm sore this morning as a result. Started in on the rears on one side, and discovered that the hub and axle have to come out to get at the parking brake shoes. That requires a special tool, which I can borrow from the local auto parts store, where I'll buy new seals when I pick up the tool. The new calipers haven't come in anyway, so I'm putting the job on hold until next week after I get back.

Not sure what's on the agenda for today, but there's plenty to choose from.

When I saw what had to come off to change brakes on my 2500HD, I took it up the road to a shop and had them do it.

When I saw shipping prices at rock auto, decided I’ll stop at NAPA for new pads for Subaru.

Good Morning
It’s already at todays high of 32. No precipitation predicted for today.

Yesterday I stayed busy, made myself pancakes for breakfast, then went out on the tractor and pushed about 1-1/2” of slush off of the driveway. Turned out to be a good plan, as it was dry before temps dropped below freezing in most spots. Cranked out a new document for the FAA, not saying that it was a sisyphean task, but it was about how we deal with “ non essential furnishings” that might be worn or non functional. Can’t wait for the findings on this one. Shop air compressor died, so after some online research, I went to tractor supply to check out the major contender in person. It’s a 60 gallon vertical tank unit that makes 11cfm. I looked around for Makita sprockets online, ended up ordering some from e-replacement parts. They were back ordered, but I’m not in a hurry, just being prepared.

Today will likely start with breakfast with my retired attorney/ history professor friend. Then a trip to Tractor Supply to pick up the compressor, and bring it back and install it.
UPS says the plasma cutter is coming today as well, so it will be like Christmas in the shop. Might even run some new air lines. I’m thinking about using PEX, even though it’s not an approved use. Any thoughts from the collected wisdom about that?

34 earlier, 31 now and still windy. It looks like we are in the path of this weekend’s storm. Forecasts are from 1”-12”, temps 12-35 and possibly just partly cloudy.

Headed to the hospital in a few minutes for my cancer surgery, I hope it’s not too late getting finished, I’m starving now. I don’t like general anesthesia, never had a problem with it, just don’t like it.

Have a good day guys.
