Delayed bike ride to let roads dry, wind was picking up. Nap after lunch then finished splitting next years wood pile and it is stacked. Need to move on to this years wood and leaf pick up.

Shopping for backsplash tiles today. Got up early and went and picked up some turf from the turf farm. Then laid that. Gravel is next.
Honda has dried out after being flooded. No worse for wear.
Bought some party chairs. Assembling shelving and shifting gear into barn slowly.
Karaoke gear set up and working.
Lots of boxes of furniture waiting for 'sumwun' to assemble it all.

good morning all
stormy weather coming in, much warmer, and high wind warnings this afternoon

friend coming over this morning to help me move the Rubbermaid shed pieces to the front of garage where delivery
people can pick it up next week. Home Depot did a great job on CS yesterday, got another pickup ordered and this time a firm promise of
calling before they come. I hope so.

turns out I apparently should have put some lime in the church walkway mortar mix; was just making it the way I was told, and now we see some cracking, and not just in the parts
I did. The two other guys used lime in the underlayment mix but never told me to put any in the mortar. Well.....
lime apparently makes the mixture more flexible and resistant to cracking. Now I have to go back and dig out the mortar in spots and redo; sure hope the coloration
stays the same. Half the mortaring had been done when I started to help; assumed they knew what they were doing.
Now they dug up a masonry recipe for mortar, sure wish we had done that early on. I'm guessing about six parts sand, one portland cement and one lime.

Amazon agreed to reship my three items that never came last week despite their driver saying so. I wonder who is playing with my pocket knife for Christmas...

two weeks until Christmas.
