good morning
went to bed early last night I was so tired and no surprise, up early now
much cooler day but should be nice.
Picking up friend to drive him to church, he has one more week of no driving due to hip
operation but looks like he is mending well.

nice sky pic Dennis.

Don, dates seem to be your go to sweetener. I wish they didn't cost 15 dollars a pound in local supermarket.
I wonder why they cost so much more than prunes.

nice to wake up to news headline that covid counts are going down nationally. We are having an important meeting after
worship this morning trying to refine our covid regulations and planning for our big community get together next weekend.
We are trying to have an outdoor event to bring our families back. We are missing five out of six families with multiple kids, without
kid vaccines they just won't take the chance of more indoor activity yet. So we are doing an outdoor picnic with free food and ice cream, and
maybe a bonfire.

We have one family that will not mask and are unvaccinated. It really saddens us we don't see them again and may never. Has created a rift
not sure we can overcome. These are the folks who said to forget all the science and just rely on God. And everyone is sure entitled to their own
opinion, but not the right to endanger others. This family won't even come on Zoom. Truly a situation where you can't make everyone happy all the time.
We still have the rule (to be discussed again today) that anyone coming on campus must be masked outdoors if they aren't vaccinated.

read an interesting article that the answer to our staffing shortages is to focus on community colleges. Put all those mostly young people to work, most need
the money anyway. Simply a concentrated labor pool at the right age; some gov't programs offering 20 dollar an hour jobs to jumpstart this effort.

may the love of your family and friends bring you great joy today.

Drinking first cup of hot coffee. 41° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 61° with partly cloudy skies. Got trees trimmed and hauled to chipper pile. Got some seat time on tractor. Son brought his travel trailer and put it on my RV pad for winter storage. Going to Port Huron to visit my aunt today.

Buppies hope you feeling better.

Mostly, my back is feeling much better. I can lift my 48 lbs generator into back of Mule without pain.

Buckeye, great sky picture.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

Good news on your back Ron. Will your son's rv be plugged in for a little heater or dehumidifier?
In NC it was so damp I had to leave something running in there, and it worked, no mold or smell.
You have a much colder winter there, maybe dry enough by itself.

Starting to plan a visit back down to Washington NC in early Nov. Will be nice to see my friends again
and check in with my fireman neighbor whose leg will hopefully be out of a cast by then.

Humidity should not be a problem. But with all the rain we have had this year it's something to watch. He does not leave it plugged in. Even though I would allow it.

47° right now...high in the upper 50's and partly cloudy...

Margeaux jumped up on my bed last night...woke up to take a pee, had a dog snout almost touching my nose. The girl was laying across the pillows at the head of the bed. If you're a dog lover like I am, you'll appreciate that anecdote.

Stepdaughter did the shopping since she had to talk to her boss (works at Hannaford's, a grocery chain) about her schedule (she and I will alternate caring for Wifey). Other than my laundry, no chores today...

47 going to 67 and sunny. Fall is back!

Roy, glad to hear your wife's hard cast is off. Hope she keeps improving. We've never let dogs on the bed or furniture, but have been on the floor like that with them. We used to have a Hannaford's but it closed.

PJ, glad your wife's dad is better...so sorry about his wife. Don't put those kayaks up for the season, yet. You know you have one more paddle to do!

BEF, glad you got you power back...sounds you have a nice trip planned. We'll be up there one day this week...haven't planned which, since my son is here, and my wife has to take her mom to a couple of doctor appointments this week. I've got some painting to do, and another trip around on the zero-turn.

Hope yesterday's birthdays were great.

Good morning, low 43°F and the high will be 54. Wind WNW 8 mph. 60% chance of showers.

A dump run is in the works for today and then more wood to go into the basement. There is about a 15-30 minute job he needs to do for his old lady, (he will stretch that into 2 hours). Then onto the wood. His job is to grab the wood off the bucket and drop it on the conveyor. Hard job. He wouldn't have that IF he had got the wood dumped where I wanted it.

Thanks for the smoke map, that will come in handy next summer.

Two years ago me and the guy that hauls with me both just got past Temagami, ON when the cops closed the road for a fire to burn through. It is a good thing, because although we are fairly maneuverable, pulling a 'U' turn on that section of highway is okay for cars and straight trucks (3 point turn), it is do able but not recommended for loaded super 'B' trains. Keep in mind, the highway is two lanes wide with no shoulders to speak of. 21' from pavement edge to pavement edge.

Have a safe day all
