RS, that hydrangea is looking real good this late in the year.

Yeah ... was kind of surprised that it hadn't started to go dormant yet.

But then we've had unseasonably warm weather so I guess it's really not much of a surprise.

Mine looks freshly aerated from skunk digs.

Got a notification from MS today that Windows 11 is available. Anyone done this upgrade yet?

I was notified through the Win Insider Program that it was ready but...
I bought a new Laptop recently and am entitled to the upgrade. I'm going to wait after I saw this,

RNG, Ok found something that California does right - Medjool Dates from the Bautista family in Mecca California. The date texture is like butter and if you take out the pit and put in a Texas pecan it taste like a Pecan pie!

Turns out I've been by that place many times, but I don't think it's open to the public.

When I saw that they grow seven types of dates, I wondered which one you'd choose.

Power still out. Got the Honda generator running with 1 lamp on. Not sure how widespread the outage is.

Wife visited her father in the rehab facility this afternoon. She said his speech has improving a lot, and he actually lifted his right leg today. Great progress. He already wants to go home.

We also found out that his wife, who had been hospitalized for several weeks with kidney problems, died yesterday. My Wife has been texting with her stepsister and half brother all day. It seems the rift there has been at least temporarily mended.

Went out to turn off generator to go to bed, co must have tried to turn power back on, and sparks went flying from the top of pole behind my house. It looked like a gigantic Roman candle. Called it in, took awhile to get a person to answer, but a truck showed up in less than 5 minutes, but they didn’t stay long. That pole feeds transformer for the horse barn across the road.

And the power just came on.
