good point about size of unit. The higher efficiency ones have a big octagon like case I guess for more fins and better cooling.
Probably one of the larger cases out there. Actually I thought the larger size implied efficiency but not sure.
I've had good installers both in PA and now in NC for Trane. As others have said, that might be why I've had
good reliability; put in right I suppose.

seems the system coming at many of us before Christmas on the East Coast will be a warm event and therefore rain. Lots of rain.
Good, will water my fruit trees.
I don't know, I think snow on Christmas Eve is pretty cool...

good morning all. 38 degrees going up to low fifties today and now the rain is due in a little earlier, maybe some showers today. The overall forecast for precip before xmas is now over two inches. going to be a wet week. Today I'm going to put a top coat on the staining I did yesterday and then have a little fun in the kitchen baking some walnut raisin brownies and a lemon cake. If they come out ok, I'll give them to new neighbors and friends here. Everyone is probably tired of Christmas cookies anyway.

32 heading to 44, and then chance of sleet tonight and tomorrow. Had some sleet yesterday while I was hunting in SE VA.

Happy Winter! Shortest day of the year is starting out cloudy, but enough of a hole in the clouds to allow a blood red sunrise for about 2 minutes.

Having a coffee contest this morning...brewed half a pot of Starbucks Holiday blend, and then half a pot of Peet's Holiday blend, fresh ground from beans...and the winner is...Peet's.

Arrive in Charlotte yesterday traffic was bumper to bumper 80mph to stand still then back to 80. I do not see how they stand it. Had a great lunch and even better dinner. Got some Xmas shopping done more to go. Malls and store a sea of people unbelievable I tell you unbelievable. Spend the night in Davidson smaller town much more laid back and where son got his undergraduate degree. Nice place and nice people and soon get up shower and head to game.

Lots of beautiful lights to see last night and I readlly enjoy that. The town of Davidson especially tastefully done. Good morning

Morning mi amigos. Overcast and high 50s right now. Not much movement on the temps today-projected high of 63. Left the blankets on the horses. Supposed to hit 70 tomorrow, then cold front Tuesday/Wednesday, then back to 70 by Christmas. No more rain in sight for the next 7 days. But the rain from the last few days was ample.

Grocery run today. Then I'll hit Home Depot for some garland to decorate the new sign. Cowboys are on at 3:30 central. Probably get in a nice long walk today-too cold (for me) to ride.

Hope you all have a restful, peaceful and happy day.

69ーF and only .01 inches rain last 24 hours.

Get to test the washing machine I installed yesterday. Wanted to let the new plumbing joints set overnight.

New experience yesterday. Went to a friends house and harvested macadamia nuts. Not particularly hard, just pick up the fallen from the ground. Got three 5 gallon buckets full. Just for personal use. Now they have to be dried, husked, then can be either eaten as is or roasted. I like both ways.

Be safe
Have a great day

Not many things I like to eat like macadamia nuts. I've wondered how they were harvested. Sounds like you guys picked up several hundred dollars worth, at least at retail prices, here. I have noticed that last year they weren't as large or tasty as previously, but the most recent container was back to normal.

Good Afternoon. 1210, rain mist, 56F with 100% humidity. Forecast high of 58F with 50% chance of rain this afternoon, and a low of 51F tonight. The first day of Winter is a chilly, gray and damp one here. The 10 day forecast calls for sunshine on Christmas Day, but rain and clouds every other day.

Today the sun stands still. Tomorrow it starts back toward summer. For any of you guys who still worship the old Roman Gods, today is Saturnalia, and starts a week of feasting honoring Saturn. {No, not the car company} We still do the week of feasting, but don't think too much about Saturn anymore.

I've got an eight day head start on my winter beard. It hasn't got to the itchy stage yet, but it always does after a couple three weeks.

I've got a couple of Christmas parties at work today, then there is nothing other than our little office party on Tuesday until after the New Year. Some time off will be nice. I may sleep in a day or two.

Hope everyone is having a good day,

Larro

Those old Romans knew how to party too. :D

Drew: Pics of the mermaid or it didn't happen.

32F & overcast. Just hanging out on TBN mostly.

I'm trying out a new battery minder/charger on the lawnmower today. I don't run it enough in winter to keep the battery in good shape.

The trick with macadamia nuts is letting them dry out to about 5% moisture content and, getting the right nutcracker (although rats seem to do well with just their teeth) Brute force and a BFH works but you end up with crushed fingers and broken nuts. Painful.
