I don't know if you guys are still using masks but Scientific American had a good article about masks.

Good morning! 70˚F heading to the low 80s with lots of clouds and spotty rain.

Nice plane Popgadget. We have a small airport in town and am always amazed at seeing those fast little planes zip about. They will build a new Costco next to the airport and it will be the only one between Austin and Dallas. I don't think they are expecting people to fly in to shop at Costco but then I do hear of pilots flying all over just to go to an airport restaurant.
The one in Brenham TX was popular before covid. Home

Gray2 gave us a scare yesterday evening when he decided to sneak off the patio when I went to see who set off the front door Ring motion detector - just Amazon, but that little stinker stayed hidden till midnight before he finally got hungry and meowed at the back door. The coyotes sounding active in the creek bottom did not help.

I'm getting impatient with the tomatoes, I keep seeing blooms but no forming tomatoes. I might start pulling them out to plant the fall/winter garden either today or when it's cooler Monday.

I was able to scan the 3 page application to an e-mail for mail porch delivery for Mom. Still waiting to hear back from the USPS. They make it difficult besides their form, a letter from her doctor, pictures, the mail carrier should not have to back up. Last week we removed a tree and some rose bushes to make a circular path in her yard.

Good Morning!!!! 70F @ 6:15AM. Sunny to partly cloudy. High 83F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

Good to hear from you again, Mike, and that you're all OK after the misadventures. Out here, they'll take your scrap but not pay you anything for it, and charge you fifty cents a pound for anything you want to take home. Probably a lot of us looking forward to a better 2022.

What does Costso stuff the salmon with, David? Left over rotisserie chicken? :giggle: Sorry you missed your neighbor's company on the Mule trip; I was gonna ask if you remembered your earplugs...🤭

Looks like they were sorting out the pecking order, Ron.

Nice birthday present, Paul!

I had the same question about masks, Chris. Just took delivery of new N95 masks, but almost nobody around here is wearing any kind of mask. Covid admissions at the local hospital look like they've just peaked at record numbers, and over 80% of those admissions are not fully vaccinated. They had to repurpose another floor to expand the ICU.

Good luck with the post office, Don. I got a questionnaire from them last week, and my comments were not favorable. Judging from the chatter on the neighborhood Facebook Group page, lots of my neighbors are suffering from lost mail, other people's mail in their box, and even lost packages.

Got the alternator and ignition parts back on the red bike yesterday, and the tank primed for the white one. Don't have enough clear to finish the tank, so it's on hold until more shows up.

Today is "Shoot with the Sheriff" day at their training facility. It's been cancelled the past two years, but was a lot of fun the only time I went before that.

Hope everybody has a great weekend!

Back at home, only one scratch to the truck bed. Wife is happy metal is out of here.
There's your "ice cream" money. Sorry it was such a long trip. Sheet metal never pays much. Welcome back.

73° cloudy, more rain possible.

We are going to another Texas A&M game today...vs Miss State. I put my name in the hat at work, and won 3 tickets. After last week's loss, not as motivated. We have a young O line due to two injured starters, and a beginner QB who is no Tom Brady. At least it will be a late 6pm start, so no incredible heat/sun to deal with. I really enjoy watching the Corp of Cadets march at halftime.

Went for a loooong country ride with daughter learning to drive. Our backroads turned into washboard gravel :( It was rough on the car and us. But eventually got back on pavement.

I bought a carpet shampoo machine, so I'll assemble that today too. Then, guess we'll see how it works.

Which one? I’ve been thinking of getting one. Right now I have a bissell spot bot which will clean spots in carpet, but looking for one to do a whole room.

Good morning. 63 now, upper 70’s later. Going to be a nice day.

Went to the friendly neighborhood NH dealer this morning to replace the missing anti-scalp roller from the deck. Figured I would have to order it. Nope, in stock along with the pin. Awesome. Family run business transitioning to the 3rd generation. Opened about 1948 and still going strong. And only about 1.5 miles from my house.

Need to get some mowing done. Getting a new washer/dryer today. Supposed to be here between 12 - 4.

Not sure what we will do this evening.

I have 2 cats trying to help me type this. Neither one are very good at typing 🤣

Everyone stay safe out there

My dad gets porch delivery, and they back up. But they always have to back up to turn cause he’s the end of the road. Don’t have a box on the porch, they leave it on top of a table, and there’s a weight to put on top to keep it from blowing.
