Good Morning.
It’s 68 and raining. Rain is going to continue all day and night for a total of 2-5 inches depending on the forecaster. They do agree that the high temp will be around 72. I think the disparity in rain totals centers around localized heavier rain in thunderstorms, and their likelihood.
Yesterday was a very productive day, once I got home from Lexington, I got the speaker packed up and off to FedEx, hooked up Progressive to the tractor, picked up my helper from his nap, and we got all the mowing done, youngest son helped by doing most of the Lazer work while we mowed the open areas.
By the time everything was done and the equipment was put away, it was dark and spitting rain. It would have been a great time to call it a day, but there was a big box that UPS left me in the shop that was calling me.
So I had to unpack and set up the new welder, gave it a quick test, which it passed effortlessly, and then called it a day.
Today will be a day in the shop at a very leisurely pace, there is nothing that “has” to be done today. I hope to clean up and organize the welding table, and put away the tools and clean up after rushing the speakers out the door.
It’s real food for thought watching the news and seeing the country being decimated by weather and fire, and I suppose even the fires are due to weather. With all of the technology we have, we can fly a drone on Mars, but we can’t really predict natural events, instead we only get to watch them unfold.
Some things we control, some are controlled for us.
