Was 78F and partly cloudy @ 22:00, HI 80 ... dew point 70F with 64% humidity. HI was 97F earlier.
Had a post all typed up earlier today and I somehow managed to wipe it out before I could hit the "Post Reply" button. At that point I said "Screw it, I ain't retyping that again ..." ... which I'm sure everyone is grateful for ...
Mostly an energy conservation day ... largely on account of how brutal it was out there.
Did get birdbath scrubbed out with bleach and refilled.
Also refilled hopper and another suet feeder.
Made a bank deposit and scheduled some bills for payment.
Replaced two light switches in the main bathroom - one was completely inoperable (light wouldn't even come on) and the other was intermittent, causing the light to flicker occasionally. Used a couple of old switches I had lying around, until I can get around to replacing all the switches in the house.
Took Cub up to the compost/wood lot and blew it off with the Stihl blower.
Grabbed split ring in the shop for Woman's hanging basket while I was up that way. Could not locate pins for the strings for the sweet potato vines.
Woman and I ran down to HF and picked up another set of garden hose quick couplers. Happy to report that they indeed do not leak ...
She slid by Dunkin as I was in HF and picked me up an iced coffee (with butter pecan ...
)
After that we swung by Pat's Creamery and she got her two scoops in a cup ("Death by Chocolate" and butter pecan) and then headed on down to Menards.
Picked up there and headed home.
After we got home I watered the garden and the oak trees in pots.
Strapping had come in for the Stihl from Amazon.
Drilled four half bars of Irish Spring and hung those on the blueberry plants and the tomato cages.
Woman made spaghetti sauce today, using our homegrown herbs. Sauce was real wet and runny ... but that's how I like it. Was good.
Stray cat was hanging around, expressing some interest in perhaps having frog legs for dinner ... while looking pretty skinny. So Woman put out some dry food, I just went down and brought that in.
Good thing too - coons were on the march from the woods headed this way.
Still have to take the trash up to the road, might run down and get the gas we forgot to get while we were out earlier while I'm at it.
Hope everyone had a great day ...
