66°F and mostly clear skies this morning, going up to 86° today. The cool before the heat, as we're looking at 102° here by Friday. And ... it's not even Summer yet.
My traffic vacation is definitely over. It's taking me much longer to get to and from work now. Seems all those drivers with "no particular place to go" are back on the roads in large numbers. The jams are back in all the regular places, along with multiple "accidents" (pronounced: predictable results of questionable driving practices) every day. I guess it was nice while it lasted.
When I got home yesterday, The Wife asked me to finish power washing the deck, as her hands were starting to cramp. Fair enough. She'd done the driveway concrete pad and about 2/3 of the deck. I finished the last third of it while she went out and picked up dinner. She fed the fuzzy butts while I gathered the trash and rolled the can down to the road. Went out to the barn to check on the chickens, as well as the live traps set for the groundhog. He's been smartly avoiding them. May move them to the other side of the barn tonight.
Sorry about your friend, Paul.
