Good Morning!!!! 66F @ 6:30AM. Sunshine and a few afternoon clouds. Hot. High 103F. Winds light and variable.

Sorry to hear about your friend, Paul. At least he died doing something he loved...😢

The part of the trench I'm digging now runs roughly parallel to the driveway, and there are several rock benches exposed in the driveway. So it came as no surprise that the trench would be going through rock, too, and there are several spots that I'm having trouble getting down far enough to provide 12" of burial depth for the water lines. Think I'll take the bucket off tomorrow and take it over to a shop that sells replacement teeth, and see if they have a set with the forked tips. The fellow that dug the water tank pad swears by them. If I can't find a set, likely I'll give him a call to finish the rocky spots with his bigger Cat.

Not sure how long I'll work today with the temperatures that are predicted. I need to make some phone calls anyway, so that might be all the excuse I need to cut the digging short. Counting paces for a rough estimate shows about 375 feet left to go.

Here we are, Hump Day already...

63F and sunny @ 09:30, headed up to a high of 72F. Winds currently light, with gusts to 2 mph out of the northeast ... will be getting breezy later at 10 - 15 mph out of the NNW.

Gonna throw some clothes on and head out and see if there is still enough dew on the grass to put the Weed-N-Feed down. If not, there's always tomorrow.

The 55G aquarium I picked up recently had a stand with it which was pretty lightweight - to the point that I wouldn't trust it with that much weight on it.

The Woman has been talking about wanting window box planters ... but with brick walls that didn't seem like a particularly easy project, so we found a quasi solution and I offered up the aquarium stand for her to use.

Add in four inexpensive plastic square pots from Menards ($13) and here's what we came up with:

Still needs a little work to get it level.

Might get a cedar board for the bottom shelf and fill it with smaller plants.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)

RS lot of grass build up, how many hours on Cub?

Coming up on 70 hours ... but not all of that was mowing.

RS wonder what Chapin is sending you?

RS gotta love another wrong part.

Yeah ... it's fairly impressive ...

That Shrimp Newburgh sounds tasty.

Glad you had no wind penalty ... (y)

;)

Morning all, sunny and nice here. Got some weeds pulled yesterday.
Now have another Box turtle nest, this one in back yard. She had to be laying eggs for more than an hour.

Walked the New Hope Lambertville bridge again this morning.

RS-UPS delivered another instance of the first incorrect part Chapin shipped me- starting your own Chapin supply depot?

Mostly- almost all Cape May houses along the beach drive are raised due to storm flooding. This one I guess had to save up to get it done.

Sodamo - Good to hear Sophie's checkup shows improvement-

PopG- saw about the crash on the news - bad news that pilot died. Found out later. They had lots of pictures of the plane. No privacy from the news. Our condolences

RNG - I guess drilling holes in the rock and waiting for a freeze won;t work. Pneumatic hammer?

Solar hot water started working , right after I called company to come out and fix.

Will transplant some plants today if sunburn on legs from this weekend will allow pants ( I know, but I did put lotion on)

Stay safe and be well

Good use for the stand RS. It's built to hold all that heavy water so those
pots should be no problem.

marvelous River pic Ken. The big white building on the right is the Bucks County Playhouse.
After WWII, Broadway actors and talent liked to hoof it on the small stage. A big part of the overall culture
of this area that brought so many new people into the area. Not much room left....
But it is nice to see many permanent preservation signs on the local farms. Including my family's as I drive by the old lane.
Our farm went down to the River near the far bend in the River in this pic. NJ on left, PA on right.

I had a pair of those...didn't hold up too well. After a few months, the headphone wouldn't take a charge.
They did send me a replacement, which I never used. After yours and Eric's posts, I think I'll charge them and give 'em another try...
Don't need 'em when operating the tractor...cab is pretty sound muffling even at PTO RPM, but I sure need something when using the mower!

Mine are over 2 yrs old. Haven’t used them a lot, I forget about them. Used them last night, they were still charged up and worked.

Good Morning!!!! 66F

Could a strong wind blow the tank rolling down the hill? How will you fill it?
