Paul that last nut does not look easy to get to. Don't those pumps have about a 700-900 hour life?............ Does the tool look like the old distributor wrench.

This pump had 780 hours on it, I’d say you called it pretty well.
The wrench is very much like a distributor wrench, but the wrench end is like a 12pt tubing wrench with a magnet to hold the nut in it.
Not sure if that makes sense, I’ll take a picture next time I’m in the hangar.

60F and partly cloudy @ 22:00, high hit 74.7F today, beating the predicted high of 73F.

Amazon delivered one order: some SD cards, paper, and 1 lb. of calcium carbonate.

Noticed hummer out at the feeder, also these guys who've nested on top of the siren on the back wall:

Not sure what they are - maybe Eastern Phoebes - but sure hope it don't go off while they are there.

Mowed most of east side of lawn down here by the house.

Got another tank of glyphosate mixed up.

While that tank was mixing I went up and got the dump cart and did some trimming on the low hanging branches in back.

About that time The Woman showed up lugging the FS66 (but not the shoulder strap) for me to start for her.

Persuaded her to load the trimmed branches in the cart instead (since she is lower to the ground than I am) and told her I would get the shoulder strap when I took the cart up to dump the trimmings on the burn pile (if she would just sit down and take a load off for a minute while I did that)

So I did that and then got the FS66 started for her and while she was weed eating I sprayed around the east edges of the yard.

After she got tired of that I put her on the Cub and she went after the west side of the lawn while I took the hopper feeder down and moved it over into the lawn, a little further back in the yard.

The hopper feeder needed refilled so I had mixed up a batch in a bucket and took it out to fill, sat the feeder on that while I was moving the mounting pole. Also filled the sunflower tube feeders as well.

Needed some additional tools so I went off to grab those and when I got back there were six birds on and around the hopper feeder ... which was sitting on top of the bucket on the ground ... including that Rose-breasted grosbeak.

About the time I was getting that finished up she comes out of the house and tells me I need to get inside ... "Your fish are really hungry" ...

So we fed the fish ... and the banana worms.

Just got notification that UPS will be delivering a package tomorrow - hopefully it will be the frame parts from Chapin ... but it could be something else as well.

Hope everyone had a great day ... (y)

Coffee is finished brewing. 43° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 78° with mostly sunny skies. Ended at neighbors place helping with a couple of yard projects. That required some tractor seat time. Enjoyed time out in warm temperatures. Fired up house AC. After all the work done on furnace over the winter. Wanted to make sure it would work. It worked OK. Calling for temperatures in upper 80's this weekend. Hair cut this morning. Then will see what I can find outside to do rest of the day.

Good morning, low temp 51 and high to 79°F. Wind W 6 mph. Sunny!

The power washer will get lifted into the trailer with my loader this morning [seat time] and off to Burks Falls to get repaired or replaced, hopefully. If they don't want to do that then they can refund my money and I will get one somewhere else in the fall.
Covid poke this afternoon, and that will round out my day.

Nice duck pics, Ron. You have all the major makins for duck soup.:ROFLMAO:

Have a safe day all

49 and scattered clouds going for 80 today, 90s by Friday. Need rain.

Cool looking fox den area, Thomas...looks big enough for Buppies bear to share, unless Boo says no.

Took my truck to get its annual inspection...dealership still does it for free and fast...although we had time to look at new vehicles in their lot...one Land Cruiser...$90,800...the guy prepping vehicles said this is the last year they'll be sold, so some are going for $5K over sticker and some collectors are buying and sticking them in the garage. I think if I had an extra $100K laying around, I'd buy land. I always wanted one...and almost bought a new one in 1978 but it was $6K and I bought the new pickup for $4,200...now that 1978 model is one I wish I had bought.

My wife went with me for the 9am appointment so went grocery shopping afterwards and to a Mexican restaurant (outdoor fountain area) for lunch...not as nice looking as yours, Ron, but has trees and wisteria growing over a pergola. Still some gas stations without gas...local news said 73% of stations in Virginia have gas, but DC still bad off.

Changed the oil in my wife's vehicle yesterday while it was parked next to a Sweet Betsy bush...very nice smelling the fragrance while lying on the ground...also funny how tame the birds get when you are lying down, coming very close to get to the feeders.

Good Morning!!!! 60F @ 4:15AM. Abundant sunshine. High near 85F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
Bit of a cooling trend into the weekend, with a couple cloudy days and highs in the upper 60s - low 70s. No sign of rain though.

Do you think that's the same pair of ducks from last year, Ron?

Any word on the Honda, Drew?

Had a go at digging with the bucket yesterday. Sorta worked, but just not enough traction going uphill against the 17° gradient to make good progress. Tried dropping the scarifies on the box blade to break up the dirt, but the notches on them had too much flash to seat in the lower positions. Back at the garage, a flapper wheel took care of that, and they worked very well going down hill. But again just couldn't get the traction from the tractor going uphill. So back to the garage to take the 3PH stuff off and mount the backhoe. That part was easy, the only tool required being a 14mm socket for a pair of M10 bolts. At the backhoe I hit a snag hooking up the hoses, as the top'n'tilt spools were in the way of one of them. Back to the garage to move the spools, it was a bit like working on Paul's vacuum pump. Drilled two new holes and got 'er done, eventually. Moved tractor back to the hoe, got hoses hooked up, then tractor would crank and not start. Found that the air filter was pretty choked up with dust, but couldn't get it off because FEL boom was in the way. Not sure what to do next, or even if that's the problem. More study needed.

My old twelve foot Stanley tape measure got caught in the bandsaw a few weeks ago, and I just couldn't bring myself to bin it. It's been with me more than forty years, I used it on one of my first real jobs, and a lot of others since, so I decided to just replace the tape. Except apparently Stanley would rather sell you a brand new tape measure, and doesn't seem to supply just the tape any more. Google found one on ebay, and it showed up yesterday. Following the instructions on the back of the pack had the old tape measure working good as new in about five minutes. At least one thing worked out yesterday...
