good morning all
Poor night, up at 2am taking pain pill and putting on heating pad. Maybe screwing around with the string trimmer not such a hot idea...
Food shopping this morning, then landscapers start this afternoon with mulching gardens, removing and replacing four small evergreens that either died or
are half chewed off by deer, and doing the heavy weedeating/clearing along driveway that I tried to do and should have waited for helpers.

Quite the warmup, temps predicted in high 80's all week. Very glad I got my a/c installed.

First cup of coffee sure taste good this morning. 44° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 74° with cloudy skies. Got tree down and cut up. Need to chip it up sometime this week. Did some garden pond cleanup. Then watched NASCAR. Not sure what I will get into today.

Good morning, the day has started well, I got only slightly damp while doing my rounds, I got back home in time to hear it start pounding on the roof.

The "Goose Island" needs renaming. Nest abandoned, all to be seen for mother goose's weeks of effort are ever fatter ravens.

Kyle very sorry to hear you got shunted. Living in a different country, I know nothing of how you seek some recompense, all I know is that today your kids woke up with parents who did not die in another stupid car crash and that is by far the most important part.

Ron, good photo, our blackbirds look very drab in comparison to that one. A search tells me that is an Agelaius phoeniceus - unless you have just been playing with photoshop !

Red winged black usually move on as they migrate north. Not this year. Saw my first Blue bird yesterday. But did not get a picture. Time to put out their houses.

Terrible to read about your accident, Kyle. Very good legal and medical advice from Lawyer Dr. RNG, and good point by Eric. I got rear ended back in May, 2016, got my first ambulance ride, and ended up with a new Tundra, so maybe not all will be bad. Sure hope you both are feeling better.

Wow, RNG took a sheriff to court!

Ron, we have red-wing BBs all year, but just yesterday my wife commented that it seems the red area on them is bigger and more vibrant this year. Nice photo.

The chipmunk babies are out, and the wrens are dive-bombing them as they show their own babies around the porch...still feeding them sometimes.

Rain threatened all day yesterday, but only got a few drops, so roasted coffee and hiked rather than planned outside jobs.

Buppies, I want to watch as you play IRS to that bear.
