Our gas station at 11am $ 2.89 at 3:30pm $2.96 gallon and diesel creeping up fast.

Costco was $2.75, Highs where I filled last 2 cans $2.89, most places $2.99-$3.09. Places out yesterday have it today according to gasbuddy. There were no lines at any stations, except Costco usually always has lines due to lower price.

My gas cans were almost all empty before this shortage hit, so had to pay the price.

Diesel #2 in town this week was closing in on $4 a gallon, Thomas. But now it costs less than regular gasoline, so maybe I shouldn't feel so bad? This at the same time the Governor announced a 34 BILLION dollar budget surplus, and the legislature is working overtime figuring out how to spend it. Maybe they should give it back to the taxpayers from whence it came? Oh, but they've got that covered, too. If you make less than $75K/year, you get $600. That takes care of $9.25 billion, plenty left to roll back those fuel and registration taxes they put on back in January. But I'm not holding my breath on that one.

Really nice afternoon. I mowed the farm lane. My ancient old Woods mower has a new rattle. Nothing obvious jumped out at me. I'll just have to see what happens.

I saw that 8 members of the NY Yankees organization tested positive for covid 19 despite being fully vaccinated. Wonder if they got counterfeit vaccine.

Didn't the MedCram videos say that you can still get it even if you're vaccinated, but the symptoms will be mild and there's almost zero chance of dying? And isn't that pretty much how all vaccines work?

Got the area for the water tank staked out today, then tried to get some drone shots of it to verify it's where I want it. I waited too late and some of it was in shade, and I couldn't see my paint lines. So that's on the list for tomorrow.

But here's a shot of the house, taken at what's supposed to be the maximum "permitted" height of about 400'. I remember taking shots before with a lot wider view, but can't remember changing the max height setting. Maybe it reverts when you update the DJIFly app, which I did before the flight?

Anyway, the grounds are in full blown summer mode, with nary a blade of green grass anywhere. And what's left on the lawn is heavy enough I'm thinking of getting some kind of vacuum to keep it from acting as a fuse to the house...

Towed the club trailer to our second cruise in of the season. Benefit was Operation We Care. We had an surplus deuce and a quarter show up and a lot of veterans. 224 cars and raised $600 for the cause, plus bags of items to send the troops. All in all a successful event.

Earlier today I got the trenches ripped for the border bricks for our two new features that we plan to finish by about Tuesday. I couldn’t find my store bought ripper so I welded a new one, used my single point adapter on the three point hitch.
