From the website

VAERS accepts and analyzes reports of possible health problems—also called “adverse events”—after vaccination. As an early warning system, VAERS cannot prove that a vaccine caused a problem. Specifically, a report to VAERS does not mean that a vaccine caused an adverse event. But VAERS can give CDC and FDA important information. If it looks as though a vaccine might be causing a problem, FDA and CDC will investigate further and take action if needed.

Anyone can submit a report to VAERS — healthcare professionals, vaccine manufacturers, and the general public. VAERS welcomes all reports, regardless of seriousness, and regardless of how likely the vaccine may have been to have caused the adverse event.

In other the data may have ???? Value at best

ETA: no further discussion from me, Dennis. I usually find Don’s references /quotes reliable and look forward to learning from them.

My apologies ☹️

The VARES is a part of the CDC.
"VAERS data alone cannot determine if the vaccine caused the reported adverse event".

Don, there's no way to tell at this point, how many died because of the shot. It's just that they died sometime after getting it. I just heard of a guy my friend knew, age 77, had his first shot, but got covid, then pneumonia, hospitalized, then they had planned for a lung transplant, but he died before they could get the surgery started. Did the shot kill him, or the covid?

How many of these deaths could just be related to death from old age? I sure don't know.

I believe the shots should be voluntary. But I'm going to bet that more and more places are going to demand you show your vaccination card for different reasons. At work, we still have to wear masks. But since I've had covid, and both shots + 3 weeks now, I would gladly show them my card if they would allow me to work without a mask.

I would say it is approaching 50/50 (mask wearers and non wearers) if you go into the store.

I asked my wife what she wanted for Mother's Day..."a load of gravel for the driveway." Well, she got an early Mother's Day gift yesterday. I met a dump truck driver who lives just a few miles away when getting a load of mulch recently and he brought 8 tons of 57s yesterday at 8:30. I got a few hours of seat time spreading it and hand raking it to make it nice for her. Then mowed until the T-storm ran me in again. Nice timing on the rain to settle the little bit of dust on the gravel.
I asked my wife about gravel and she said hahaha.... I envy you.

I really like Don's references too. I find myself telling my wife and other folks about info gleaned from Don's references.

Other than recounting my experience with Covid last year. I stay out of the discussions. There are a lot of strong opinions and emotions involved.

But....my medical team is advising me against the vaccine due to their concern for a potentially adverse reaction to the vaccine from the level of antibodies in my body. They have dealt with some very serious reactions from other patients with high levels of antibodies who were early recipients of the vaccine.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 37° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 56° with mix of sun and clouds. Nice lunch with cousins from VA yesterday. They are helping son that lives near me pack for his move to Boise, ID next month. Need to get some weeding done in gardens around house today.
Not sure what this bird is. Little larger than a sparrow. On another site got a reply. Female Red Wing Black Bird. I would have never thought that.

Good morning, low was 37 and the high will be 55°F. Wind NE 9 mph. 40% chance of showers with possible T-storm in afternoon.

I got the implements out of the weeds, but my loader
wouldn't pick them up high enough to get them on the trailer.
I will see if the garage will come and pick them up. If not then there is another guy that actively collects scrap, he has gotten scrap off me before.

On Wednesday the 12th my DIL has an appointment to check out another hospice, this one in Huntsville, ON.

Sunday the 16th I go south for my drivers license medical and back to work on the 17th. The tentative date for going north-west is June 1. That will give me 10 days for the shakedown cruise.

Interesting bird Ron. Lunch for one of my cats.

Have a safe day all
