I have to say, the people at Signature Services there made that the best large airport experience I've ever had. It's definitely different, though, than just checking your baggage

It costs me about $700 for the privilege of have our passengers go through the lobby at Signature BWI, I just checked, today’s fuel price there is $8.43 for Jet A (kerosene). So they ought to make it easy for you. You generally get what you pay for, I’ll never complain about signature service, just their predatory pricing.

Chris, that's quite the drive from Lancaster to Deer Isle. Are there a lot of dears there? :) I'll bet it's nice in the summer.

It is about 600 miles. We can do it in one long day or break it up into two long days. :giggle: As for the wildlife there are a lot of deers but it is not warm enough for dears to be showing their best. The Jersey Shore is way better for that.:giggle:

I haven't been anywhere that I like the boating better.

Chris

14 right now...high in the low 20's today...

Well, time for the truck inspection. I'll be knocking off work about 90 minutes early to make the appointment time...

Stopped by vehicle emissions test twice this week, first time long line so I left. Tonight the machine wasn’t working. Course, no out of service sign, everyone has to try it to find out.

Don, have you, or anyone else for that matter, heard from Harvey (wronghtn_harv) lately?
No I have not. I think he is on the same Travel site that Ron is on.

I would love to pull more music off my old vinyl. Sweetheart of the Rodeo anyone? :)

One of my all time favorite albums. And the very best version of Dylan’s “you ain’t going nowhere”. I’m going to have to play the whole album now that you’ve got me thinking of it.

I talked to him just before temperatures fell. Needed some info on how to protect his Motorhome from very below freezing temperatures. I will try to post a link to the IRV2 forum that he post on a lot tomorrow morning. He and Glenda are doing good.

Alien, did you feel the earthquake? Apparently more than one.
I was a lot closer and never felt a thing. We had the tsunami warnings and a lot of people in targeted low lying coastal areas moved to higher ground. The only effects we had were small tidal surges in some harbours but no reports of damage.

I have an OLD soundblaster sound card for a PC, and it has old style stereo jacks, to plug in a set of jacks. In the past on my really old PC, I could use it to get music off my old vinyl. I'm wondering if it would fit in the newer Dell 5040..... I would love to pull more music off my old vinyl. Sweetheart of the Rodeo anyone? :)
If you end up having to shop for a new sound card to get the A/D, instead consider just buying the CDs. Amazon sells used ones for a couple dollars plus five dollars shipping. Order from the same supplier and they'll reduce the shipping cost. I don't know what sound cards cost, but for seven bux a pop, you could get a lot of CDs. And speaking of pops, you won't hear any when you play a CD...

My best friend just gave me a donkey BBQ (chewing on some azz). He yelled at me and told me to never, ever leave my compressor on when I'm not using it. He reminded me of another friend who's whole house and detached garage burned to the ground, caused by the compressor overheating and catching fire.
I even kill the breakers leading to the compressors and welders before I leave on a trip.

The compressor in the garage is loud enough it wakes me up if I forget to turn it off. There's a very slow leak in the line I've been playing cat'n'mouse with for years...

I was going to say, but I'll miss the snap, crackle and pops! ;)
