Gasoline has gone up about .50 cents/gallon since Jan 20. No thank you.

More like .30 cents/gallon (USA Average Price) ... and more than half of that rise - around .20 cents - has been since that cold snap:

Of course, it’s up around a dollar a gallon since late April last year.

One of the side consequences of those refinery shutdowns:

First cup of coffee is brewing. 33° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 33° with brisk winds. MRI yesterday went well. Just takes too long. Did not get much done. Enjoyed at good ride in Mule. Going to help Sassy celebrate her 2 year Birthday today. New toy and couple of special treats. May do some more photo scanning today.

Kyle, hope family is getting better.

David, good luck with network.

Muhammad, I am liking the upgrades. When I change pages my new post moves with me.

RNG, my welding table is full of tool that never got put away. Need to clean it soon. Have a couple of welding projects.

Drew, always had the tractor emojis when using my iPad and iPhone.

Randy, more and more people are getting their shots. My son got his shot Friday. As a truck driver he is considered essential. He does haul medical supplies.

LS, hope leg is getting better.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Good morning, the temperature is 30°F and going down to 16. Wind W 19 gusting to 29 mph. 60% chance of flurries.

It got real windy and the rain came pounding down, for about an hour yesterday evening.

I've got nothing planned for today, so another energy conservation day.

I think part of the excuse for the rising fuel prices is covid. At least covid is the excuse the powers that be are telling us the sheeple. F@#$ing thieves.

Have a safe day all

good morning all. 39 out now, still raining lightly, going up to 49 later with rain stopping.

Ron, hope MRI results are good. Happy Birthday to Sassy!

David, that's a LOT of rain. At least you know where it runs off to.

No big plans for today

Good morning, unexpectedly woke up to bright sunshine, although that didn't last long. Within half an hour the forecasters prediction had come true, we are now enveloped in fog. Pleased I don't have to go anywhere today, which is just as well anyway as the road to town is supposed to be closed today for next two weeks. A little inconvenient, although a great opportunity too to have a good go at the hedge that runs along the roadside.

Rich, a creek is crick ? Is that just a local pronunciation, or used everywhere - here a crick is what you get in your neck from a cold draft.

Wow what a lot of rain. The South is staying wet and soggy through middle of week, and if the high winds come in tonight, we
are all going to be picking up sticks for days. I'm wondering after the snow melts if any of my daffodils are trying to pop up.
Anyone else have any early Spring flowers yet?

Years ago, I pretty much stopped buying music. Not a fan of rap, nor much of the dance/bee bop/ voice tone adjuster stuff. I guess I'm stuck in the '60's, 70's, 80's, and some 90's music.

Much of the music that I opt to sit down and listen to also comes from the 60's and 70's. Even so I also enjoy being able to pick and choose from something more recent too. Kyle, surely there has to be something from this century that you like ?

If a thumping Burack Yeter remix of Anne-Marie's Ciao Adios is not your thing (it genuinely is in my "Quick Blast" playlist :)), how about "Vampire Weekend" playing "Harmony Hall" - I bet your eldest daughter could do a great version of that too.

I find music streaming fantastic for discovering new music which in the days of vinyl and compact discs I would never have come across. For example, my wife was recently watching a Rick Stein food program and within it was a short piece about a harpsichord player. After a bit of searching on Tidal I found Ruth Hall playing a very different arrangement of the Sans Day Carol ( a traditional Cornish variant of "The Holy and the Ivy") that was recorded in 2014 and is like nothing I have heard before.
