Good Morning!!!! 51F @ 3:45AM. Sunny. High 68F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Whew! Lots and lots of changes with this new forum software. If you're missing something in the editor, try clicking on the three stacked dots in the menu of the editor.

Glad to hear of all the melting going on. Spring isn't that far away. Out here we're not making much progress on the drought; snow pack is still only 2/3 of normal. But there's rain in the forecast for next weekend.🤞

Hard to beat free, Paul.

They'll let anybody in around here, Randy.:ROFLMAO:

If you're that wound up about the new house, Drew, it's a pretty good sign to take it slow. You'll know when the right deal comes along.

Yesterday, I put in an application for a new credit card, and learned I had to "unfreeze" my credit rating. Got through that hoop, and was approved after just a few minutes. Gonna use the new one only for repeating, automatic charges. I figure there's less chance of those kinds of businesses being hacked, and having to update all those accounts to a new card number as a result. It also rebates spending at a higher rate, and doesn't seem to have political affiliations I'm uncomfortable supporting.

Did a lot of wheel spinning yesterday, didn't seem to accomplish much. But I did clear most of the junk off the welding table, so I'm hoping for some sparks today. More firewood pallets.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!

Now that I’m back on, I see no difference in the iPhone, haven’t been on the iPad yet. I haven’t been on the desktop in probably a year.

45-50 today with heavy rain expected. The high was originally supposed to be 58.

I’m almost 24 hours out from my second dose of Moderna, so far less soreness in my arm than the first caused, no minor chill like I had the night of the first one. We shall see as we go along.

On line church for us today. Have to pick up a Sam’s Club order and go up to Ellen’s dad’s house to look over some offer sheets on his property. He’s an extremely bright and talented man, but not much formal education. He has offers to buy just the land and to buy the whole shooting match. We are going to try and sort it out for him. Mother in law has Alzheimer’s and is in a nursing home and He doesn’t need 37 acres, a big house and three large barns full of carriages, tractors and assorted antiques to deal with anymore. He’s finally realized that.

Have a good day I’ll check in later.

Rain report, central NC. Last year I kept track of the rainfall. This year more detail.

The weather industry tracks lots of things but mostly talks about volume of rain, rainfall in inches. They almost never talk about frequency so....I figured I better keep track.

For what it's worth, the weatherman said so far this year we are at 150% of normal, 1/2 again as much as normal but....they don't talk about HOW OFTEN.

January 2021.......has 31 days.....rained 24 of 31

February 2021......has 28 days......rained 17 of 28.

that's 41 out of 59 so that's rain more than 2/3s of the time, call it 70%.

Here's an ad for NC chamber of commerce. Come to NC, it only rains 70% of the days!

And we do not get that pissy PNW mist. When it rains here, katie bar the door, it comes in sheets!

To requote my septic guy......no clue when he can dig the drain fields, won't pass inspection!

This is the KNEWNRML

Good morning, after reading how easy it now is to post pics, I thought I better go out and take one before posting anything else. Not much to see at first, a fuzzy sun appearing at the end of contrails burning away at the freezing fog at the bottom of the hill.

Didn't have time to post that, as I needed to check on the sheep who are all heavily pregnant. Most have already gone off to a farm with plenty of space inside so they can give birth away from the viscous beaks of rooks, ravens and magpies. The rest are leaving today, except for one ewe who gave me a surprise with the early arrival of a pair of lambs. Mum was just starting to lick the youngest clean as I arrived. Rural new-borns for a re-born TBN seems quite appropriate.

Will someone please send a Good Morning welcome to Mohammad while I work out where the new emojis are :) Congratulations on surviving the first 7 months of sleep deprivation!
