Hopefully my arm will be better in a few days. Main concern is my back as I am slowly becoming unhealthy due to the fact I can't walk very far. 50 yards and I am struggling. Only 100 kilos so not really overweight. I will be if this keeps up. Last 2 laminectomies were quite successful so I don't mind the thought of going through it again.

I have the same issues, some days I can walk pretty well and others it’s a struggle to get to the outbuildings.

Good morning! 25 now, supposed to get to 34. The predicted weather system is now tonight into tomorrow. We did get a dusting of snow over night. Supposed to be several more Panhandle Lows over the next 10 - 12 days. Those are the ones that can dump some serious snow around here.

After the grocery run, just kind of hung out in the garage. Did manage to do some reloading in the process. Otherwise, was kind of a lazy day

Everyone stay safe out there

34 outside this AM. Feels like snow is in the air. Heading to 43 today.

Weekend was a lot of chainsaw work, must have been trying to keep up with wngsprd. LOL. Cleaned out the fire wood shed and restacked the last two rows of years gone by wood.
Need to get the splitter on line soon. Axe just is not cutting it. LOL.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe and stay healthy my friends.

Good Morning!!!! 38F @ 5:15AM. Showers early, then partly cloudy for the afternoon. High 54F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 50%.
Rain finally started around 6PM yesterday, but was all done at a quarter inch before midnight. The weather radar sez it's snowing outside, but a look through the window tells me otherwise. Winter Storm Warnings go up Tuesday night lasting into next weekend, so there might be a little white stuff on the ground later in the week.

Hope the new truck works out, DFT.

Always a good feeling to put the chain saw away at the end of a day and nobody got hurt.

There's always the starter fluid trick to seat a stubborn bead, Rick.

Yesterday turned into an energy conservation day after all. Neighbor did come down, but without his gooseneck trailer, so the old tractor is still here. Mined desktop space, then took a bunch of photos of standing dead trees and the power line easement for the PG&E claim. I'll either finish that today, or split some more wood.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

Good morning all, 26 going up to 40 - cloudy - forecast changed to light snow/rain mix - hope it stays above freezing so not an ice storm
Got one planter built. Now the hard part, working with the wife to see where she will let me put them!
Then fill in with dirt leaves and get some decent top soil and matting, followed by t-posts in prep to fence in from deer and varmints.

Replaced cracked hammer in wife's Keyboard, kid is teaching himself how to play. was pretty easy swap out.

Alien - glad you got the pain shot and hope the tear and back heal without intervention
Wng-happy tree fell in right direction!
Thomas- no e-muffin - might bend reality :)

Had to cut up quite a bit of cardboard for recycling this weekend to make space to build the planters. Too cold and windy out side.
One more planter to go...

Stay safe and be well.

Feels cold this morning. No sunrise visible. Some kind of a storm is coming. I checked 3 weather services. All different. It will either be snow or snow and freezing rain or rain. Somebody is bound to be right.

I read a part of an interview with a Harvard expert who said if we all wore high quality masks (N95) this mess would be over in a month. Only problem I see is that you can't buy them and a lot of people won't wear them. Its the same with vaccines. You can't get them and a lot of people won't take them. Sigh

Replaced cracked hammer in wife's Keyboard,

I was thinking of all the times I wanted to take a hammer to my keyboard when I realized you were talking about something else. Still it's a thought:D

Good morning! Partly cloudy, 59˚F heading to the 70s, West wind.

Wngsprd those large trees always have me worried when I fell them. I try to visualize their path and possible hang-ups and if the trees bottom will scoot toward me. Glad yours fell right.

The questions around here are not how many or who is getting the covid but how many vaccines will the county be getting this week. The answer is 8,200. I hope everyone can find their county's allotment. The county's FHS hubs waiting list has grown to 136,156. There are only 4 counties in Texas that have projected compliance of 80% or greater on getting the vaccine. Ours is one of them.

Looks like a good week for all my brush clearing volunteer jobs this week, last week they were all rained out.

33°F and heavy rain this morning, going up to 37° today. Rain is supposed to last all day. Been awhile since we've had rain like this, and we kind of need it.

Wife and I have been rethinking our fitness machine inventory. She says she loves her treadmill, but almost never uses it. She finally admitted that, listed it on Facebook Marketplace, and had it sold in about an hour. They picked it up Friday afternoon. She also listed the Bowflex, which neither of us use much anymore. She's been chatting with a guy who's interested, but it seems to me that he's ho-humming about it. Said Saturday he would check the dimensions of his SUV to see if it would fit (it will when broken down), and we haven't heard back from him. She found a used stationary bike listed in nearby Belleville, and had the boy drive her there to get it yesterday. We also looked at rowing machines over the weekend, and settled on the NordicTrack RW700. Not an inexpensive piece of equipment, but looks like a pretty good full body workout. I desperately need to unfat myself.

One of the pedals was cross-threaded into the crank on the stationary bike. I was able to get it out and back in straight without re-tapping the threads, fortunately. Other than that, I don't feel like I got a whole lot done this weekend. Too much errand running, including a trip to Tractor Supply in Carlyle for some chicken feed.
