This morning started out hectic as the Austin Hub website, which got 12,000 doses of vaccine was opened up. I got on and was accepted, then on the last page I was to pick a place and time and then the problems started no matter which zip code or combination of miles (5-100) it just kept on clearing out the info to start over. I gave up and went to chainsaw massacre cedars in the park. When I got back home the news was saying that the signup for the 12,000 doses was filled in 6 minutes and after 20,000 people signed up the web site broke with technical problems. I guess that is when I got on. This was the website that was encouraging people with no insurance to apply and no check of immigration status was advertised. These are the people the city of Austin and the Austin hospitals will have to eat the medical bills if they have to have medical treatment so it was a money thing.
At the park there was still a little snow on the ground after noon. Temps started out at 27˚F and quickly got into the 60s by noon. Sunny blue skies, just a perfect day to work outside. below are after/snow pic/before.
