It’s good she will use a computer. My Sister did FaceTime to her son in ID, so Dad could talk to him. I asked him if he thought he could do that on his own, he didn’t think so. I’m still tempted to set him up with internet and get him a tablet.
Record your mom, take pictures of the pictures she shows you. Get as much of that knowledge as you can record.

Getting Sophie’s Mom set up on an iphone and FaceTime was one of the best things we did for her. Just used our previous model when we upgraded as she never had interest in doing other than FT and regular phone. I would configure for her (and keep passwords), load the contact file for family and a bunch of pics. Of course we could email her new pics but often had to walk her thru getting them. When she lived alone we also put one of those Fall alert apps. Not sure how many times she initiated a FT but would answer when others did. I did have to tell the younger relatives who visited not to f**k up the phone by changing settings, but they could upgrade the IOS when appropriate.
