Are you getting side effects, glad you both did not get a adverse reaction.

My arm is a bit sore this morning, but no more so than I've had with some other vaccinations; no visible swelling or any other problem. One other thing that surprised me, though, is the fact that the nurse was NOT putting any Band-Aid or such on the spot where she did the injection. I don't reckon one is needed but I don't think I ever gotten a shot when they didn't put something on it afterwards. Anyway, sleeping on my side on that arm feels no different than any other time.

Good Morning!!!! 41F @ 4:15AM. Partly cloudy skies. High 59F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.
Looks like we got about a quarter inch of rain overnight, and there's more in the 10-day starting Sunday.

I see Larson also sells camera systems, Paul. Gonna have to spend some time on that sight. I jumped ship from Nortons when the collectors moved in and drove spare parts prices through the roof. Still have one parked in the great room, though. Since I never ride it, it never needs parts.

Glad to hear of the steady progress, Rich!

No black ice here, Drew, but I'll still be staying in, and probably won't be awake to welcome in the new year (again).

Good call on the mowing, David.

Glad things went smoothly yesterday for you and your wife, Bird. Sounds pretty much like the same set up, paperwork wise, as I saw at Costco when I got the regular influenza shot.

I've been over the Going To The Sun road a few times. Once in the rain, once in heavy smoke from wildfires, at least one other time in good weather, all on a motorcycle. I really appreciate the work those folks to get the road open every spring, as the scenery over that pass is quite good and there's a beautiful campground on a lake at the north end.

Sounds like a good way to end the working year, Paul.

Newsome announced yesterday that the new CV19 variant has been found in the Los Angeles area...

Trip to town went mostly smooth yesterday, except my favorite roach coach Mexican place wasn't open yet when I got there. Found an open restaurant downtown, but wasn't as good even though it was filling. Sometimes you get what you need.

Finished the two sets of firewood pallets I was working on, and I think I'll take the next few days to disassemble more pallets to build up a stock of material for the next batch. I have to do that outside, but I can build the hoops inside while it's raining next week. I have four pallets done now, and twelve more to go.

Hope you all enjoy a warm and safe NYE!

A friend gave me a broken MIG welder, a little 120v one, I was able to fix it, so I went out and got a little bottle of gas for it. I used the big argon bottle on the TIG welder to test it, but bought argon/CO2 mix for the dedicated bottle.

After I get the speaker shipped, I plan to go get a standing rib roast for dinner tomorrow, hopefully I can find a nice one. Then I m gonna shift into coast mode.

That is one nice speaker. Time for “the load out”

my new Makita cordless chain saw is looking mighty fine in its box.
Too bad that's not my house...was delivered on Tuesday and neighbor did not bring it over.
Now I'm headed out to look at front door paint jobs and boy won't this be interesting if they
opened the packages...

45 outside this AM. Maybe the high today too. Rain moving in.

Got back in town, unexpected. 2020 has been pretty bad for us, took another hit with my transmission going out on my Chevy. And the drain field looks like it is going to be a top end system as the water level, rock and general soil conditions will not support a conventional system. This farm has been in around over a 100 years and now the county and state are telling me the soil is not right.

I'll be glad to put 2020 behind us tonight. As I am sure many of us are. On the bright side, my wife continues here absolutely amazing recovery, having passed her post-op milestones. Yeah, they monitor her for a few years, before giving her the clean bill of health. I have not managed to break down mentally or physically despite the various challenges presented on all fronts.

Another piece of good news, my porch project will be completed today as I set the last porch post up. An 18 month schedule, interrupted by most anything and everything one could imagine. And to think, I told my wife I could do it in three months. LOL.

Good bye 2020.

Happy New Year to you all!

Stay healthy, and may good fortunes find you in the New Year.

Windows 10 had an update yesterday...wish any "upgrades" would leave custom display settings alone.
Win 10 is OK....better then some previous, not as good as others....but it's a PITA to reset my display settings...

Happy Birthday, Roys' sister.

daugen, I will be taking the light bar off the Jeep along with the LED spotlights and retrofitting them onto the Kioti. I disconnected the stock headlights, they were useless unless I run around with the bucket way up in the air. That aint gonna happen.
