Good evening. It was a heavy frost this morning at 33˚F but warmed up to the 70's with lots of vitamin D sunshine.

Eric, good save.
Eric how did the first 90 year old to get vaccinated in the UK jump ahead of all the tier one people?

Opps, just got bumped down another tier today by the CDC. Now tier 3. Tier two is reserved fo those 75 and older and essential workers. Oh well, 49 million people get to test the vaccine first. Tier three will now have 65-74 and 16-74 with a medical condition or 129 million people - or 1/3 of the population.
CDC panel says essential workers, people 75 and older get Covid vaccine next

I know Bird and my Mom stay in tier 2 who else?

Have you had any leg cramps from using HST?

Nope
I pivot is the seat and use my left (good leg) for the pedal...both forward and reverse. With the 4520, I could pivot both to the right and left, since there was no need to use a pedal...that was a bit easier and I wish the cab Deeres had a reverser transmission available...but they don't.
Pivoting one way only gives me a bit of a neck ache. I'll deal with it...
I can control the speed of the tractor a lot better with my left leg. When a first cleared the snow (on Thursday) I bogged down the tractor a couple times going too fast...left leg controls the speed much better...

Rick What is done with the oil after frying the turkeys?

Last time I did it, back in the 90’s, I’d strain the oil between uses, but as I recall, french fries, fried shrimp, french fries, scallops, french fries, chicken wings, french fries, cornish hens, french fries. Oh, did french fries too.

Wife hinted at fried turkey this year. Have a completely new set up still in the box for 15 years. I resisted and did the TDay turkey on the Primo, as I will this week for Christmas.

Rick What is done with the oil after frying the turkeys?

When I cook only a single turkey .. I clean up my oil by filtering it thru cheese cloth a couple of times then return it to the original container and usually get a minimum of 3-4 uses out of it.

With all the oil we'll have after cooking 4-6 turkeys per fryer and at 7 or 8 fryers (close to 50 gallons) that oil will be spent .. a local restaurant will take our oil to recycle.. as a favor to our VFD.

If you keep your oil close to 350° .. it lasts much longer. If you let it get near it's "smoke point" (about 440° for peanut oil) you've ruined it.
