39 and a light rain outside.. high in the low 40's...looks to be pretty dreary with a spot of sun now and then.
No dump run today, of course...but there's gonna be a heck of a load next weekend!

Today looks like a good day to watch some Blu Rays...maybe an Old Fashioned or two...

Good Morning!!!! 44F @ 4:15AM. Sunny. High 64F. Winds light and variable.
Broken record weather, not that I'm complaining. Still no sign of rain in the 10-day, though long range forecast models are showing some in another two weeks :crossfingers:.

News reports very light traffic in brick'n'morter stores, but lots of buyers taking advantage of Black Friday deals online. Found a couple myself yesterday, but once again, snagging a deal on a name brand Blu-Ray player seems elusive.

Could you cast your own shower base out of concrete or morter, RS? It's pretty clear that's what was done in the shower here, then a pebble style tile laid over it. But it's also on a slab foundation, and wood might not be stiff enough to support one.:confused3: Master bath has pedestal sinks; drove me nuts until I found a chest of drawers that fit between them. Now I have a place for storage, and can use the top for bathroom appliances and the like. But would really like to redo with a cabinet running the length of the room, with double underslung sinks on top.

Things seem to be going your way lately, Kyle.

Lots of rain there lately, David. Sure could use some here if your Pineapple Express mojo is strong enough to send some our way..

Looks nice, Buppies. Plan on retiring there?

Sorted out the wiring mess on the white bike, replaced a fried wire with a thicker one, but it came from an old Lucas harness so I may have jinxed the project. System makes sparks, though, so that's a good sign.

UPS brought the hardware for the solar panels, and I was able to get the rails installed without machining or welding anything. Hope to get the panels on today.

Have a good weekend, gang!

34F and clear, headed up to a high of around 46F. Tomorrow is supposed be in the low 50's ...

Pulled another all-nighter. Woman just headed out the door ... managed to get her to sit still long enough to show her a couple of things before she did ...

Got one of the slipcovers put on last night ... it needs a little more fussing to dial it ... but seems reasonably decent for what it is. No question that the cats approve that's for sure ...

... RS - that sink is kinda cool, that would drive my wife crazy no place to pile all the 都tuff she has on the vanity ...

That's one of the cheaper ones cost-wise (about $275 at the Depot IIRC) ... Kohler has some that will set you back a cool grand ...

Interestingly, I'm the one that was inclined towards a vanity even though the amount of stuff I have is negligible ... (mainly because it makes a good place to stow/hide all her kit ...) ... and she - the one that really has all the "stuff - was the one that wanted a pedestal sink. She was (is) still twisting in the wind on how it was (is) all going to work ...

I told her I'd build a counter-height false wall behind the sink - which I have to do anyways - to handle the plumbing for her sink ;) - and she could use that to set her things on.

She thought I was a genius ... too funny ...

46 and cloudy going to 62 and mostly sunny.

Nice ...

RS, bathroom plans look good.

Thanks.

We are wanting to do one of ours...can't decide on design.

Yeah ... that's the toughest part ... so many different ways to go ... and so many different options.

Things here have been sort of stuck in a 1970-ish mode ... so time for a major revamp. She has an affinity for some Japanese design/style elements and we're looking to incorporate a little of that into at least one project ... toughest thing is probably going to be tying it altogether.

I guess that's why folks hire interior designers ...

Been kinda lazy last couple of days...plan to get busy once it gets light.

Sounds like beautiful weather for it ...

Good Morning. It’s 47 and looks like it’s going to be a nice day.

Didn’t accomplish much yesterday, I did get my the mower tarped up for the winter. High point was a turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwich on homemade bread.

A friend had a new smoker that was a gift that he had in the box for years. Decided to put it together yesterday afternoon and discovered that the rivnuts for the leg attachments were never installed. The holes were all blind, so it would be a challenge to do it any other way. He asked if I could weld them on, I said sure, but it will make a mess of the powder coating though. When brought it over, I figured out that 1/4-20 rivnuts would work, and I had a nearly full box of them. So it has legs, unmolested powder coating and a dozen new rivnuts pulled into place.

Looking at the vanity top in my bathroom, a pedestal sink would displace a dozen or more items....

Today will be consumed by a trip to Hilton Head. Getting ready to head out shortly.

good morning all.
cool morning, 45 out now going up to mid 50's in sun and clouds.

Was pleased that all the outside lights came on last night, need to take my good camera out tonight for picture, tried with
cell phone and pic didn't come out. Did some house cleaning this morning, scrubbed the bathroom, now off to turn on heater in garage and let
that warm up for awhile before I go out there.

Paul, safe trip to SC, Hilton Head is one of my favorite places, always tried to stay in Harbourtown
when passing that way in boat, all the boats there were bigger and way fancier than ours. Always liked the striped lighthouse at corner of marina.
There's another bigger marina outside of town I never tried. Drove the golf cart one time while my wife golfed there, right along the ocean.
Amazing views.
That's a long drive, I can't drive 12 hours any more.

house in development I was interested in came up, with a garage, for a reasonable price. Might drive over there today but made myself a promise not to do
anything until my next PET scan in January said I was still doing fine.

Hope you all have a nice weekend. RS, make sure you get a nap today.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 26ー with clear skies this morning. Heading to 47ー with sunny skies. Did not sleep good last night. Not sure why. Got tractor ready for winter yesterday. Forgot to bring bucket of ice melt up to house. So when that's done I will do a conserve energy day.

Good deal on getting the tractor prepped ... mine is nowhere close ... just hoping that I can get it done before the snow really starts flying ...

Great pic of Mr. Blue Jay ...

There's a blue jay and four squirrels out around the squirrel feeder here this morning with a doe headed over that way. She might be finding some acorns on the ground and that could be slowing here up some ...

RS, big project.

Yup. And an even bigger one after that: the main bathroom.

Both bathrooms in my house are on concrete. It's surprising how water will seep into areas even when you think it is sealed properly.

Yes - it always seems to find a way.

My master bath shower is done in artificial marble. No leaks that I know of yet.

Good deal ... and here's hoping and praying that you never do ...
