Good morning!!!!

Don, that makes sense. I have ordered a blender to make "smoothies" and intend to use dates and bananas as sweetener. Thankfully the local Giant has a variety of dates, and if not pretty sure the other more upmarket store has them. My ground flaxseed also on order. Will mix in some chopped kale, which I doubt tastes very good all by itself but in fruit smoothie, just bury the green taste. Funny, just not missing the beef...but I remind myself of the likely reason my wife got colorectal cancer, the number one risk factor being eating too much meat. And my oncologist just dismissed that, they truly do not believe in nutrition and instead rely on horribly toxic chemicals to fix the problems. But there is no money in nutrition, the whole medical field revolves around procedures and drugs. Follow the money...

I've been using a small amount of canola oil to fry stuff in, including my veggie burgers. Alternatives?

Now before I put something in my mouth, I am much more aware about "is this good for me?", "is this bad for me?"

my brother found my SS card replacement in his files he has stored for me, yeah. He scanned it and sent it to me.
So, back to DMV after I go to Board of Elections.

beautiful clear blue sky morning out, need to put my fleece on this morning. Wearing my old soft LL Bean chamois shirt, what a pleasure.

At church building I use QSC amps, mackie mixer, shure and CAD audio mics. Don稚 know if this amp is suited for outdoor power you might need.

Thanks BEF. My daughter submitted a request to a steerage committee at church to see if they have funds for a portable PA, that could be used for a wide array of things.

Will do!
If it shoots as nicely as the Lite, it'll be a great pistol!
There's Picatinny rails both above and below the barrel, so a red dot or some kind of optic will most likely be added
But, I'd suggest the Lite be the first choice, unless you're going to use the pistol for hunting

Yes, the Lite would be my first choice.

I have so much catching up here to do. I had to skip a lot, but will go back and read...

Prayers for a blessed day all.

Drew, we will be in your general region on Friday, Ellen wants to go to Intercourse and Bird In Hand for her birthday.

44 to 73 today, but yesterday’s 72 turned out be 66.

I might do my last mowing and take the deck off, or I might not.
I May work on the El Camino, or I may not. I’m a bit undecided, I’ll see if breakfast clarifies it for me.
Have a good one.

Drew, The nutritionalist in Houston told me to buy whole flax seed and used se a bullet blender to ground the seeds and then refrigerate the ground flaxseed. I only ground about a weeks worth at a time to keep it fresh and maintain all of it's nutritional value.

Bake the burgers. Oil is just FAT that you do not need to eat.

Good morning, 46 going up to 70- cool and moist, sun is coming
Bank called me yesterday and told me to call some guy in NJ today-not holding my breath though-

Looking-is that meat order just for the next week :)
Drew - good luck at DMV - Wife needed to order her SS card-had not had one since she was a teenager and lost it- wife uses coconut, pineapple, berries, mango and banana in her smoothies- made some last night for us.
Get a scanpan or other good non-stick (no teflon or weird "seen on tv" type pan) and you can get away with less oil.

Today need to start fixing up the area that I cleared out the stumps and maybe pull down the 2 dying dogwoods. Hopefully new tree will show up in a few days.

Hopefully bank can help me get my money back- NJ state says they take the money after 2 years inactivity to keep us safe!!! Don't know how 1.5 years=2 years though. on their site it says they have liberated millions from us poor people who need protecting!

Stay safe and be well

Good Morning!!!! 68F @ 5:45AM. Sunny. High 91F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph.
Red Flag Warning in effect until Friday noon, PSPS Watch in effect, and will probably shut the power off at 6PM today through Friday as well. No worries, I'll barely miss it. The higher tier of the electricity rate starts at 4PM, so the A/C is programmed to turn off then. With the house already cool, it's quite comfortable enough with just a ceiling fan or two running.

Glad they found the problem, Buppies, and the crawl space isn't such a disaster. One of the few advantages of a slab foundation, but I still wish there was a crawl space under this place, but as long as I'm wishing, I'd wish for a full basement! My softener runoff also drains down the hill. Haven't seen any deer using it as a lick, though.

Pretty sure our DMV wanted a real, not a copy, SS card, Drew. I have "Straight Up Food", but have yet to try any of the recipes.:ashamed:

Beautiful trees, Ron! You too, James:thumbsup:

Service manager at the Kubota dealer agrees that a refund would be the best solution, but has to clear it with the salesman first. Hopefully find out more today. I did have a good conversation with Brian at Fit Rite, and replacement valves seem like the best way to go. I can copy the Kubota mounting bracket for them and they'll come out of the console at the same spot, but the lever slots might need some surgery. Might be replacing hoses and fittings, too, as I think they are part of the valve package I purchased.

Not much joy in the garage yesterday. I've used a hose clamp as a piston ring compressor for years, but for some reason it's just not working this time around. After struggling with it most of the day, I saw that the bottom of the cylinders were very rough where the coating that was sprayed into the bores was left unfinished. I was able to smooth it up, but it didn't help. So today I'll grind a gentler taper and polish it to give the rings an easier trip from the compressor ring into the cylinder. I did shop a bit for a new set of ring compressors, but like everything else on Amazon, most were junk. Called my Snap-On guy but he's gone out of business; Chico just doesn't seem to have enough business to keep a Snap-On guy fed. He gave me the number for the next franchise south, and hopefully I get a call back today.

Starting to shop for a new box blade, something wider to match the new tractor track, and something heavier for better ballast. Everything Attachments has some pretty stout hardware on offer; too bad I'm so far outside their 1,000 mile free shipping range.

Happy Hump Day, folks!

45°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 84° today. Temps are supposed to drop tonight, and highs tomorrow may only be in the 50s.

I had to renew my driver's license this year in August. I kept putting it off, thinking they'd eventually reopen the drivers facilities. They didn't. After several letters from them requesting I renew online, I finally did. It was quick and easy, but I obviously couldn't do the RealID stuff. So, now I'll have to go there anyway sometime between now and next November to get that done. They are still telling people not to come into the facilities unless your license or plate is expired, and recommending everything be done online instead, at least here in Illinois anyway.

Eric, in the US we consider that kind of gun registration a violation of our Constitutional Rights, and oppose it with great fervor. Too many examples from around the world of that being the first step towards confiscation. Our government has no idea who owns what, with a few exceptions. When we buy a new firearm from a dealer, we have to fill out a federal form for the transfer of ownership, but that form rarely ever goes to any governmental organization. We do have a government-run background check that gets run on us for each purchase, but even that just indicates that we are considering buying one. There is no record with them if the sale went through or not, only whether it was approved or not. For most gun owners here in The States, reading stories of what others have to endure just to own something we consider an inalienable Right, makes us shake our heads.
Our spreadsheet contains all the important info (make, model, serial number, caliber, and any special or helpful notes), as well as individual pictures of each firearm. We haven't bothered to inventory ammo. We did segregate it about a year or so ago into individual stacking plastic parts bins by caliber/cartridge. They are stacked atop the gun safe. I did note over the weekend that it probably wouldn't hurt to get the reloader going again.

RNG, we are under what they're calling here a "Fire Weather Warning" today, which I assume is pretty much the same as your Red Flag Warning. Everything is ridiculously dry here, humidity is low, and winds will be kicking up today. First time I can remember hearing that in a long time for this area.

Good morning to all! Low of 40, going up to a high temp of 82. Windy today, gusts to 45..... started at 5am. Cooler tomorrow after the front moves across.

Drew, good luck today getting everything straightened out... hopefully no snags.

Eric, anytime you want to get rid of the wood burning stove, let me know..... do you know what it is worth? Some of them over here can fetch as much as $10K from collectors.....

Rng, Hopefully you will be able to return the valves without a big hassle.

Ken, maybe the guy in Jersey might be able to help you out..... wishful thinking anyway.... they can take it fast, but try to get it back in a reasonable time....

PJ, my gun inventory list is easy... we only have 2. One silver, one black. Both the same caliber, so ammunition is simple.....

Today will be another putter day. I will probably start another wood working project.... a high back entry bench with storage. A bit more complicated to build than the recent projects. There will be a bunch of ripping and cross cuts making a 'butcher block' type of slab for the pieces. Then joining to make 16" wide boards for the framework.

Everyone have a great day!
