Thanks for the link.
My generator is dual fuel, but I've only run it on LP...hoping to avoid the starting problems I've heard others have with old gummy gas in the carb. It only puts out 8100 Watts peak on LP vs. 9000 gas, but I mainly used it to keep refrig and freezer food from spoiling, to make coffee, and to run the microwave oven so don't need the extra power from gasoline. With a diesel mower, I don't keep much gas around except in the winter, for the saw and splitter.
Glad you got your firetruck on a good trajectory.
Heaven forbid we not be able to make coffee!!!:laughing: ....knowing the intensity you pour into your java.
How is your daughter doing Kyle
Thank you for asking, and thanks for all the prayers. She is much better. Much better. Back to her sassy self.
Prayers for your young coworker.
after being told by MB dealer I had to drive to Raleigh in person with ID to order replacement keys, and then when they came in, had
to have rv towed all the way to Raleigh to program keys, I just knew this was going to be an insane cost. One last thought, I emailed my prior
next door neighbor, and asked him if by any chance he had the ignition key. He laughed and said I had it in my pocket. Say what?....
well....the big black fob which I thought was a dumb item with just lock and unlock on it has a concealed compartment where if you push the little button
on it, out pops the ignition key. Geeeezzzzz. He had tucked it away, which I never had... sure felt like an idiot, but a very relieved idiot.
too late to go get propane so I'll just stay put.
first rain coming in, heavier stuff after lunch. Forecast is now expected to be a minimal Cat 1 hurricane, with gusts to 70+mph. This should be an interesting night
tonight. Rv is all chocked up and I'm in the lee of three larger motorhomes on three sides, which should help block some of the wind.
Path of storm is just West of me, basically right over my head.
RNG, cute friends!
Drew, glad you found your key! Now where was the spare again? Also, I'd be tempted to keep the nose pointed into the wind.
Glad you found your keys Drew! Do you have enough propane to get through the storm? There will probably be power outages....
Ken, I have 2 knee braces. I will occasionally wear them, but they usually only make it feel better for about 30 minutes. After they are removed, the pain usually gets worse and / or range of motion gets decreased. My orthopedic surgeon recommended to not wear a brace... he really tries to avoid having any of his patients wearing them.
Did the pup at least get a piece of cake?
Hoping your fall's fallout bangups are getting better.
I've been meaning to get a propane kit for my Honda generator, just haven't gotten a round tuit. Did you convert your generator yourself, and if so, what kit did you use?
I'm looking at one from Nash Fuel right now...
Sez the guy with the huge cummins LPG genset....I'm hoping you only use the honda for camping or outback lizard hunting lighting. You need to run your cummins regularly for a while. Let it charge the batteries on cloudy days.
Was 66ーF and cloudy this morning, going up to 75ー today. Rained pretty much all weekend here.
Spent the better part of Friday at a friend's place in St. Charles MO Helping him with some keyboard programming. He's the keyboard player from the Sammy Hagar tribute band I used to play with, and he bought the same Roland synthesizer I have. The guys in the band have been giving him grief over taking too long to find sound patches during shows, so I went over and helped him program everything he needs into sequential user locations. Now, User 1-15 contains everything he uses. No more scrolling through six different banks of sounds, a little over a thousand in all.
Saturday was rainy all day, and I don't think I left the house all day.
Sunday was another rainy day. I ran a few errands early, then settled into my studio and got some guitar and keyboard tracks recorded on a couple of songs. A productive day. Made tacos for dinner, too, which is always a good thing.
Happy (belated) birthdays, Randy and Ken.
Glad you're feeling better after the fall, Ted.
Kyle, I just finished a book that could have been subtitled "How To Write Lists." The author must have suggested nearly a dozen different lists. I've never been a list guy. I've tried, but I can't even fathom the number of grocery lists that never made it off the kitchen table.
Batten down the hatches, Drew.
PJ, I find myself scribbling lists depending on how many chores I have to do. Also for groceries. I can turn a corner walking into the barn, and forget what I went in there for.
Prayers for those in need. Stay safe if your in the storm's path.
