Good morning!!!!

74 and cloudy going to 88. Got a small part of another t-storm last night. All Welcome.

Kyle, I've never done any milling, but it looks fascinating. Thank for the pix.

RNG, I've seen so many photos of your fire truck/tank that I dreamed about it last night...you drove it over here and let me soak in its hot tub. Probably not gonna happen in real life.

Eric, sounds like you have retirement down pat.

Our vet dermatologist is such a wonderful lady...taking a great interest in Coco. They were running late yesterday afternoon because they lost power for a while and got behind...but says Coco looking so much better...fortunately cutting down on the meds...but still a ways to go. Got a long hike in yesterday, then used the outside grill to cook some burger for mixing with her kibble...used an oven mitt to bring in the pan and place on the stove...then went for a cup of kibble to pour the burger over...came back with her bowl, grabbed the burger pan and zap...dropped the pan since it burnt my hand so badly...forgot the mitt. Wife was gone, so cleaned and bandaged hand and fingers, and did kitchen floor cleanup, then to vet.

Then home to watch BASEBALL.

So glad to hear Coco better. When my dog had his immune system attack his trigeminal nerve, the prednisone process took about 3-4 months to ramp up and then ramp down, going by his white blood count. I hope your hand is not too bad.

I'm mad at baseball for letting them kneel. When they stop kneeling, I might start watching.

As the compressor turns....

I'm home today. Buzz Bomb sit rep. I put the thin edged teflon compression ring in the buzz bomb. It pumped up to 150psi and then the ring failed and blew out in one area. Fail. I put in the heavy wall (.040"/ 1mm) ring and it seems ok, but the teflon is wearing. I don't know if it will find a happy spot and quit wearing so much, or if it will just rub itself down....

Speedaire....I put the heavy duty 1hp Baldor motor on the other day and it ran the pump fine at 115v. So today I upgraded the wiring to it, to 10ga, and rewired the thing to work at 230 volts. Also connected it directly to the pressure switch (like normal). It ran and pumped up a cycle from about 80 to 125 psi, and the Baldor wasn't the least bit warm. I might should try to check the running amps, to make sure it's not running too many amps. This old pump has no on/off switch, other than to unplug it or throw the switch in the panel. I'm going to start leaving it off, and turn it on when I need it. It pumps up reasonably fast, getting up to 80psi in just a couple of minutes. I will just need to keep a path cleared to the breaker box for ingress/egress.

I will use the buzz bomb as back up, or if someone needs to borrow a compressor. In the future, I might put some "Tees" and valves to use it for more storage volume. It would require a bunch of quick connects to make it function as I want, and to be able to dis-connect it from the system.

It is 97 and windy from the tropical storm Hannah, WU says it feels like 107F. No rain yet. I have huge cracks in the backyard. It would take 3" for them to heal.

Prayers for our team and our country.

Coco is down to half of 1 pred per day, but lots of other meds. Hand is much better.

Before the Washington v. Yankees game last night the kneeling seemed like a moment of silence, then the players stood for the National Anthem...I guess a compromise by MLB. Didn't see how they handled it in Boston tonight with the Sox and Orioles. Eovaldi (Boston's pitcher) threw a 100mph fastball for the first pitch to start the game tonight. Can't imagine how a batter can see it.

Good evening all. 77F for the start, mostly clear, light breeze. Light wind day, sky clouded up again, but no rain, and high temp 95F feels like 102F. Up early could not get back to sleep. Bike ride to start activities, got call from former coworker, he was on the road and had time to stop by. Had nice visit and lunch with him. Did get nap in then grilled brats. Listened to the Cardinal game while working on posting.
Covid update: Cooke 169 confirmed cases, 32 active cases, Montague unchanged, Grayson 915 confirmed cases, 61 active cases
Kyle missed your pic of boring the buzzbomb compressor. Reminds me of when I bore wife's RD350 :)
Don, did not even hear of the Wet Bulb Global Temp until this thread brought it up
Roy sorry about that, I never have gotten Dr feed back on MRI or ct scan.
Eric Gald flies were not biting, Nothing more addictive than catching fish, especially fish big enough to fight well. Don't know about TV in England but TV here leaves something to be desired
Billy glad you got some rain, great update on Coco, nice to hear meds are getting cut back, Sorry about your hand
Drew sorry about the box shortage hope you can get things moved before the heat gets you
Thomas thanks for the kind words, hope you get wash out dealt with
Ron Hope shopping goes well, sounds like you are feeling better today. great flower pic
Dave that morning would mess with anyone.
Don roofers work here almost continually, and half the hammer plows you hear are the roofers checking for rotten boards.
RNG was looking forward to instrument update on the Van, Yes the lunch sounds both delicious and bad for you
Drew, glad back doc went so well. I expect you will get the RV set up as you need it.
RS never fun when cats get underfoot, interesting behavior by the cats when Big orange gets outside.Hope the traps starts working again
RNG, having less room to lose things has not helped as more piles/stacks to go through looking for tools :(
Don, they are not supposed to spit while on the field.
Dennis nice pic
prayers for all, especially Drew, jay/Peg, Kyle's daughter and Country
stay safe and healthy you all

72F and clear @ 23:30. Next chance for rain looks like Mon/Tue.

Just came in the house from scraping caulk off the butt joints on the cedar siding under the lights. Got most of joints at the man door on the garage done plus about 1/2 done on the southern end of that wall. Still waiting on the activity in the yellow jacket nest in the wall to cease before I'll be able to finish up around the man door and rehang the siding that was taken off to remove the honey bees.

Unloaded van first thing and then relocated sparrow trap back to front yard. We'll see if that gets any action. May need to pick up some Cheetos ... hear the orange color attracts them (not kidding)

Then dropped the bucket, put on pallet forks and took 24" auger out of rack and moved rack around to rear of house for cleaning tomorrow. Need to replace the 2 x 4's on the bottom with 4 x 4's and then will stain.

Ran over to the pole barn and snatched up the Simplicity and brought it back to the house. Need to get the scaffolding moved out of the garage so I can get the Simplicity moved in.

After that I put the bucket back on, took the box blade and loader off and spent most of the afternoon and evening mowing ... until around 21:00 when it getting dark enough that it was making it hard to see. Got around 85% of the front done. Will finish it up in the morning before it gets hot out.

Located the beeswax this morning ... might try and clean out an old pan here in a bit and see if I can cook up some finish for tool handles ...

Hope everyone had a great day.

Good morning, rain is falling steadily, no need to water the garden today.

Some very nice flower pics on here.

My wife went to town yesterday and remarked on how almost everyone was obeying the requirements to wear a face mask inside shops. She said it made having her hair cut for the first time in many months a little tricky, but the styling was good and not too short, the hairdresser told her that many husbands had appreciated seeing their wives with longer hair.

Wng, branded ! Pleased to hear that both Coco and your burn are improving, hope she enjoyed the burger.

David, hope Douglas doesn't spoil your weekend too much
