Found out what part of pool is leaking and have it isolated, but can't find where the break in the line is. need to fill in one hole and start another.
So Pool is back in business, but maybe big $ to fix :-(
oh my, skimmer line, bottom return line (I hope not...) isn't there a way to pressure test?
Ken, in 1959 my grandfather offered to build a pool for his grandchildren, and we wound up with a 25x50 concrete block pool, filled with concrete, they sure don't build them like that any more and likely for good reason. Unfortunately he built the pool right over an underground spring, so there was all kinds of pressure under the pool, so when bottom drain plug was unscrewed water shot way up in the air. Didn't take too many years for the cracking to start and the leaks to start.
12 foot deep pool, so for years our pool was a training exercise for the "frogmen" of the Lambertville Rescue Squad, who would come over and use something I think called AquaPlug to try to stop the leaks. Never lasted for long, but they liked the exercise. In the Spring, we'd get three or four feet of water in the bottom and have to pump it all out. Lot of stinky leaves to shovel out, then that super expensive rubberized paint to put on, after etching whole thing with acid. No wonder pool guys charge a lot.
Towards the end of the pool's life, both the bottom suction line and both skimmer lines failed, backhoe brought in, huge mess. Family finally gave up on pool and buried it with fill and dirt. I hope your fix isn't too hard.
