Good morning!!!!

same issue with my BP, Omron cuff, took pictures of readings for weeks to show Doc.
There is something called "white coat" syndrome where our BP goes up in doc offices. (David, we were typing at same time ;))
Didn't think it applied to me, I often felt like dozing off while waiting in waiting room...but my readings were often in 140's and while low/resting
number is more important, they get antsy when top number is over 140.

finally got internal prescription docs from facility, liked the hospital comments it had, seems they think I'll survive.
Will hold off on the wine until end of chemo...

I have examined this person and find no evidence to support the need for skilled nursing home care at this time.
This person's needs can be met in the Adult Care Home setting.
May consume alcoholic beverages.
May go out on leave of absence with medications

Now to get my car this weekend, and start taking short drives. All a function of chemo side effects and whether it makes me sleepy.
No desire to get intimate with NC deep ditches...
onward, slowly, carefully.

HF jackstands, 30 bucks. Napa jack stands, 100 bucks. yeah, you do get what you pay for...
glad I always doubled them up, they seemed pretty loose inside, but never had one slip on me.
Idea of getting squashed under mower deck highly unpleasant...

Interesting day. Showed Dr my BP readings for the last 3 months. He liked what I showed him. But nurses test said 147/88. Went home and picked up my machine. Did BP again with there and my machine. Same readings as above. Took my BP again when I got home. 115/74. Not sure what is going on. Dr is going get back with me after blood test come back.

A couple of years ago I was getting my blood pressure checked quite frequently between my primary care and several specialist I was seeing,
at one of them my blood pressure was always higher then the others :confused3:
That one had a very attractive large breasted nurse and she would stand of to the side and behind with one pressed into the side of my neck
and the other into my shoulder, visiting with her always seem to bump my pressure up a bit :cool2:
And I certainly didn't mind it.

BEF, is that your neighbor with the antique tractors? Nice way to display the Flag.

.

Not the antique tractor guy, this is a new tractor, TYM I think. House is 3nd from me on same side of road but a half mile away. These people just bought this foreclosure, put in a huge garden this year, and just leveled ground to build something.

I've had a Walgreens blood pressure & pulse machine sitting here on my desk for a little more than 13 years. I used to check mine fairly frequently, but haven't checked it in a long time. However, I gradually cut back on the pills the doctor had prescribed, first to 3 a week instead of one a day, then 2 a week, and then yesterday was the last pill. And I just checked and my blood pressure, according to this old machine, is 135/77.

81F and mostly cloudy. Thunderstorm popped up about an hour ago ... we didn't get much - just a nice steady shower - but a couple of counties to the east are under a flash flood warning. From the looks of the radar I suspect Rich is getting rained on.

Got one mealworm feeder done:

Seems like my blood pressure is always elevated at the doctor's office, Ron. It's not a place I like to be, and I'm not used to keeping appointments any longer, so that makes me nervous, too. And I can never find a parking place, so the long, brisk walk to the office also is good for a couple of points on the meter.

That said, I've found that taking moderately deep breaths, and letting them out slowly, helps relax me. And relaxing the arm in the cuff also seems to drop the pressure reading. :confused3:
