Since I was wear shorts, no string trimming.

No problem here, we have fluffy grass.:D

I had to really hold back when the head of the county parts and recreation asked if there was anything our Cedercide group needed I was thinking all sorts of tractors but ended up just asking for a case of 2 cycle fuel for the group. We go though three-four cans a day with the chain saws and metal bladed weedeaters. Another good day in the park cleared under another 20 large oaks with 11 people and no injuries or heat exhaustion.

RNG, the smartass short answer is very carefully.
The proper answer is that you steer the truck in the same direction as you want the rearmost trailer to turn and then chase it with the lead trailer. The secret to the whole backing two trailers is to keep both 5th wheels well greased. Remember, there is NO dolley in between them. just the 5th wheel on the tractor and the 5th wheel on the back of the lead trailer. I've been hauling 'B' trains for 30 years, these 'super B's are easier than the Bs I started with.
This load I am sitting on now is a little illegal/overloaded, but that is nothing new to me.1300 lbs over my gross licensed weight is nothing to sneeze about, but if you add up the axle weights I am good for 143,304 lbs and right now I am 141,519 lbs.

good evening all. 71F for the start, near calm wind, mostly clear sky. Less clouding up than last 2 days, moderate wind with brisk gusts, high temp 94F and surging humidity. Men's meeting resumed this morning, social distancing observed, no masks. Putter in garage for couple of hours worked on chainsaw it now runs for 2 min. then acts like no gas. Got oil ready for recycle, picked up tools. Bike ride, lunch, nap, then played with fish finder, now depth reads out depth below skeg on outboard.
Covid update: Numbers now include antibody tests. Cooke 26 confirmed, 6 active, Montague unchanged, Grayson 481 confirmed cases, 100 active

Oh, BTW, that last message was solar powered! The house has been on battery power for the last hour, and the battery is being charged by the solar panels. Things are going smoothly with the rest of the installation, and most of my concerns have been satisfactorily addressed. We'll do a walk through when they finish so I know what all the components are and most especially, what all the breakers do. The goal at the end of today is to be ready for the final inspection, and I think they'll get there!:cool2:

Man, I'm almost as happy as you that it got done...I know you've poured a lot of time, money, and effort into it. Glad it wasn't as bad a fiasco as the van. Comparing PGE to BP oil spill, the BP rig guy (who's orders caused it) only plead guilty to a misdemeanor and only got 10 months probation for those people killed. Arghh.

I would venture a guess if RNG's system was built here in our county....they would want a $100 permit fee, maybe take one look see after a qualified electrician hooked up final leg to power company with power guy there.

Drew, glad you have a good neighbor too. Sorry you have to sit so long, hopefully things will go smooth.

Wng, hope coco gets better.

Eric is up to his neck in muckety muck. What happens if ducks colonize the place? Does the gov't come take over your new wetlands? Then you'll need a wildlife study to get a permit, to walk past...

Ken, what's going to happen to the cherry wood? Hope you get it out safely.

L4N, that's a super heavy load.

I was able to shoot one squirrel. Set a trap with some peanut butter to try and catch some more. So far today, only the fireants have eaten most of the peanut butter.

Crazy spike in Covid in Bryan/College Station. went from 10-20 to 55 the day before and 145 new cases reported today.

With the solar systems that David and now, RNG have, why am I paying for electric? Between the two of them, the entire Western half of the US should be powered up..... :D:thumbsup:

RNG, good job. System looks like a nice, clean install. I see you got the newer charge controller, FM100. I have the older FM80’s. Good readout on the Mate3. The folded paper thingy is the SD card symbol.
No pic of batteries?

Be sure you check installer did NOT set an installer password or that you get it if one.

As for OpticsRE, I’d be a little concerned if installer set himself up as site owner and hadn’t provided login/password. I’d make final payment contingent on getting that. Been several OB Forum posts where installer no longer around. Likely he is concerned you’ll muck around settings. and you are aware the LAN view read only.

Looking forward to read about performance.

68F and partly cloudy @ 23:30, expecting a low of 62F overnight.

Contacted the Kubota dealer about exchanging the extra seal kits, parts guy said "can do" ... but it would probably take a while to get seal kits for the lift cylinders as Kubota recently opened up a new parts DC in (I think) Kansas and the kits would be coming out of there. Difference in price was like $4 a side more expensive. He said the timing was bad (summer, lots of demand) + coupled with the pandemic and just normal logistics of getting a new facility up and running.

Also found out that the "extra" o-ring that was supplied in the kit goes on the rod in front of the gland nut ... just to prevent getting paint on the portion of the rod that actually retracts into the cylinder body. I know the lift cylinders had those before they eventually deteriorated and fell off.

The cylinder piston/urethane seal combo is wrapped in some foam which is being compressed by a hose clamp ... hopefully it will be compressed enough to insert into the cylinder by tomorrow morning.

The boiled linseed oil won out ... got all the wood parts coated, but not all sides ... so a little more to do there. Also one side still to stain on the plywood bottom. Have to see what we have in inventory.

Made a run out, got rid of more paper at the recycle bins down at Lockwood UMC, then to Harbor Freight for a couple of cheap paint brushes, Subway for dinner, and finally Home Depot for returns and pick up F-channel and concrete crack sealer. Skipped Menards for the time being ...
