$61 and change here in Ohio for a 20 year old car, if you only get the sticker and not a new plate.

About $150 - $160 for the van ... but it's only that expensive because it's titled and plated as a commercial vehicle. Would probably be half that otherwise.

My truck registration is $190 for two years, but they get you everywhere.
Title fee went from $12 to $100 in one jump. At one point we had the highest tax/fee combo in the country. That may not be true today.

Good thing I’m not someone on social media or I’m sure some would be eager to take me to task for what I’m about to say. I find it disheartening that there is little to no call for dialog, simply one way demands, no we want you to change but we need to change also. Change is often a two way street.
I also don’t think social media is being employed in a beneficial matter, more an attack mechanism.

Cannot disagree with a single word here, David.

There were no riots, and no looting, in Klamath Falls that day.

That ... is a beautiful story.

We have something of a rule back when we had gatherings here - No politics. While I suspect it may have been with hope of keeping friends friends in this environment, the conservatives amongst us pretty much agree it was just a means to keep the libs from having to deal with rational thoughts.

My coworkers are surely wondering why I'm laughing out loud here in my office.

I've always found it entertaining that probably 90% of my long-haired musician friends are conservatives, completely opposite of what most people seem to expect from us.

So you think it's a sort of right brain/left brain thing? Could very well be.

I seem to have a foot in both worlds, being socially liberal yet fiscally conservative. So I've learned how to rationally discuss volatile topics with friends at opposite poles of the spectrum, and we remain friends mainly because we respect each other's viewpoints even though we may not agree.

In the same vein, the motorcycle club I belong to has this as one of its canons:

Airheads don't take themselves, religion or life too seriously.

A little of that goes a long way toward keeping discussions friendly around the campfire, be it real or virtual.;)

In the FWIW but probably too late department, Walmart used to have a machine you could stand on in your stocking feet that would recommend the correct model and size insole for you. I tried it once and it sorta worked OK, but the arches were a bit high. I need another set, but my guess is the machine went out when CV19 came.

Reminds of the time I had finish mower for sale fit B7100 Kubota only used it 3 times, gentleman wanted to buy it bad real bad and I told him where I was located in Lebanon,NH. and said he be there with in an hour cash in hand but the kicker was he live in Lebanon, Tn. after few mins. phone chat it sunk into him and he sound depress and said thank you.

Hahaha ... seems Lebanon is like Springfield, one in just about every state.

I was surprised to find via Google that there are 21 states with a city or town named Trenton. That's about 18 more than I knew about.

Taking a water break from the warm temps outside. Running the hydraulic lines to the new port forward on the M62. Would have been nice if Kubota put part numbers on the parts and in the instructions, as the steel tubes and hoses seem to all be different, but are similar it's impossible to tell from the drawings in the instructions which way they go. So an hour and a half in, I have the point where the hoses from the implement come in mounted, and two steel tubes running up the boom arm. And a sincere desire that whoever wrote the instructions had actually tried to follow them.:confused2:

Thanks ... good to know ...

I’m wearing the new boots right now and while they feel waaaay better than the old ones (the insoles which I didn’t realize were removable, were really smashed down), my feet still hurt some ... but then I’m standing on concrete.

Might actually need more lift for my arches ... dunno ...
