Checking In:
I do not know where my energy is coming from, but I am much happier counting birds and being productively active outdoors and in physical contact with dirt than listening to/reading the 渡ews and getting more depressed.
Yesterday's 34ºF and today's 37ºF have not hurt the garden and I feel my best physically with these cooler temperatures. Yesterday was another active day and relatively productive day outside as well as a successful curbside pickup from our general store and a curbside pickup of some decent barbecue. Today I got fuel for the mower and truck, mowed the remainder of our lawn, and bushwhacked some more invasive/encroaching Autumn/Russian Olives and brambles. I really like my Stihl 131R powerhead and its Kombitool (interchangeable) Attachments. I have 2 string trimming heads, a pruning saw attachment, and a chisel head circular saw blade. The chisel head saw blade is ~40 years old. Today with Wifey's approval I got a new saw blade and an adjustable hedge trimmer attachment to continue taking back the woods.
Billy- Bears are pretty intelligent. For every measure I take to outsmart them they always seem to figure out a countermeasure.
Thomas- I get up before dawn to put out the feeders and I swear that I am getting buzzed by hummers in the dark.
Drew- Thanks for the updates. I continue to project my + thoughts, wishes, and prayers your way.
Bruce- The past 2 nights have been bear-free.
I really need to tune in here daily.
My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.
