Well, the steering works fine again for now. I was able to buy some aftermarket oil at a great price from our local B&B auto supply. 5gallons for $34 and change.
The Kubotas use the same oil for the hydraulics and the transmission/gear cases. Literally the same oil, it circulates everywhere. I wonder if the gear wear problems I suffered on the front of the old tractor were due to the TSC house brand oil I used in it?
