Good Morning!!!! 58F @ 4:45AM. Partly cloudy skies. High 79F. Winds light and variable.
Moderate temps made for comfortable weather yesterday, but the flat light from thin overhead clouds made it hard to see what was happening in the bottom of the trench, and once the afternoon wind picked up, the flying dust didn't help, either. Today should be an improvement.

I had contractors install sprinkler piping at the old house, Ted, and had a couple of joints fail in a similar manner. Apparently they can be assembled without glue and still hold pressure, then fail months later. I found a few like that with no signs of either the purple primer or smears of glue in the joint.:muttering: Hopefully today takes a quieter course for both of us, hmmm?

Thanks for the backhoe tip, RS. Keep 'em commin'! You mentioned a blower yesterday, and when I went out to greet the second electrical crew yesterday, one of them was using one to clean the dust off the truck that had gone on the errant trip. It was a tiny thing but seemed to be doing a nice job for its size, but on looking it up, it seems it only gets 12 minutes run time per charge. Thought it might have been a heat gun when I first saw it, but the only offerings from Makita plug into a wall. But during the search of their website I discovered they also sell a cordless heated jacket offering up to 36 hours of warmth/charge. I've been enjoying heated jackets on the motorcycles for years, but never thought they'd be made portable enough to go cordless. Yet here they are, perfect for those winter sports events, if we're ever allowed to get together in crowds that size again...

Thanks for sharing your misadventure with the post pounder, David. It's nice to know someone that works even harder than I do to make trouble for themselves.:thumbsup:

To borrow a lyric, Jay, "When I drink alone, I prefer to be by myself." And I stay off the tractor and leave the drone alone, too!
While I mostly enjoyed good reliability from the Toyotas I've owned, it's hard to get any enthusiasm for them after how they treated my mom's boyfriend after the frame rails on his Tacoma rusted through.

I let my hair grow all summer when I first moved here, Kyle, and a neighbor almost didn't recognize me when we bumped into each other at Costco that October. I still remember the confused look on his face when I greeted him by name.

Somehow the Mini knows when it's wearing prop guards, Ron, and won't rise more than something like 40 feet or travel more than about 100' away. Which probably explains why you never see one wearing the guards in any of the review videos on YouTube...

More digging today. Will probably get to the driveway, and start approaching the main water line where it goes into the house. By this time tomorrow I'll probably be planning a trip to town for PVC fittings...

Hope everybody enjoys the rest of their weekend!

The prop guards also puts it over the unregistered weight limit.

Roy I was not implying that you needed to trade our ZTurn came without the suspension seat we added it but it was a toro brand seat with bolsters and arm rests at the same time we purchased it. Sorry I left that tidbit out. It is 15 years old now

That was heck of day, hope slept well.

Yes, it was.... even though I was tired as all get out, I could not fall asleep last night... tossed and turned from 9:30 to 12:30. Then up an hour later... then an hour later with a leg cramp... up at 5... I am dragging already.

A mostly cloudy 50ºF for today’s low temperature; a mix of sun and clouds and 52ºF presently; and I anticipate a mostly sunny afternoon with high temperature in the low 70ºF’s. I guess that I’ll be working up a sweat today finishing the wood so I can get access to the wood chips.

Ted- You do not need that kind of morning excitement. I am happy that you were able to effect repairs without a “professional.” You and your family need some R&R. I hope you can get a nap in today.

RNG- I hand balanced my props to minimize video shake, and they are really sharp. One of my best crashes had the “Flying Cuisinart® crashing through the upper tree canopy and chopping and mincing everything on its way down. I could not find it it was so covered with debris. I had to fire up the props to find it on the ground.

Dennis- Nice pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Bruce- I was not really that surprised that the wood splitter could handle those rounds. It takes forever to cycle, but for somebody who moves a glacial speeds it cycles in a timely manner.

Eric- I agree with RNG and the use of a PFD wading through water like yours. One never knows what may be lurking in that muck and where the deep water is.

I hope that everyone is having the Sunday they envisioned.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

68F and mostly cloudy @ 10:00 ... weather guessers now saying high could reach mid-70's here today.

Still nursing first cup of coffee ... feeling it after yesterday's activities.

Probably might be a good idea to get started early, before the sun really comes out ... which will make it seem a lot warmer.

Sure hope there's another oil filter up in the shop.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, safe, and productive day ...

Good morning to all! Low was around 45, going up to 85.

Going to backfill to hole today, no leaks overnight, I am thankful ! Rest of the day will be at a slow pace for sure.

So far this morning, assisting the wifey restring a wind chime that beat itself to fall apart. She just finished, so now to hang it back up.

After I fill the hole, might work on the porch railings. I got 75% done on Friday, was easier than I thought, but the hard part (going down the steps) is the last 25%. I thought I would get it done yesterday, but the plumbing issue squashed that plan.

Finished second cup of coffee, going to try and get moving ....

Jay, I am always afraid of taking a nap... messing with my circadian rhythm.... then really not being able to sleep at night. I think I just have too many things going on... always thinking and planning. Maybe a vacation up to BEFs or Ron to mow some grass...:D... maybe I need some more gravel...

Thanks RIP, I just take it day by day. I used to get all uptight when I did not make my schedule... I have learned to just do what I can do... I have surely slowed....

Everyone have a great Sunday!

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Thanks! But I'm not really looking to trade the 920... Has less then 500 hours and is fully paid for

My last Kubota Zero turn has the basic suspension seat, it helped but it wasn’t a Cadillac ride by any means. Somewhat better than my Simplicity.
