An overcast 40ºF for today’s low temperature; 44ºF presently which may become today’s high temperature with an occasional raindrop in the air, and I expect a rainy afternoon and dropping temperatures with maybe
some snow mixing in with the rain tonight.. I am happy the rain has held off I was able to accomplish some outdoor stuff and stay dry. I am ready to smoke that lamb later. I saw my first bear of the year this AM beelining to the bird feeders. Brogen saw him too which created a lot of loud drama and drool goobers flying and sticking everywhere. He is still worked up I hope that he does not “code”. He’s already drunk +1 gallon of water this AM; thirsty from all the barking and loss of body fluids.

I have engineers’ gloves like that. I’ve been using them since I worked on a railroad construction crew during the Summer breaks during my college years.

RNG- Nice rig.

Happy Birthday Thomas. I wish you many more in health and happiness.

I hope that everyone is having the Sunday they anticipated.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

I remember walking 36 holes in a day playing golf. Haven’t been golfing yet after GBS, wonder how I would do?

Sad about the women. Old Friends of ours had ( maybe still do?) cabin on Leesville lake. Been down it in his boat. Mid 1990s probably.

Shop is too small, and too much junk in it.

What’s best way to get a tight hydraulic filter off the tractor? Maybe a chain wrench? Couldn’t budge it with filter pliers.

Strap wrench unless shell has collapsed. I've had to chisel them off....Not fun. Chisel from the side, make a v notch on the edge of base plate , then place chisel at an angle to torque it off. Hammer at will.

Happy Birthday Thomas.

63 miles is almost my one way commute Mostly. I'm impressed. Can you do it in 5 hours?

Nice day here. 55F to start, heading to mid 80's.

Prayers. For Farmer too.

RNG, you're going to love that thing I'm guessing. Heavy duty.

Sorry the guy won't return texts. Hope it makes it safe and sound.

51F and overcast but thankfully no rain at the moment. That is the high for today, and temps are predicted to fall from here on out.

Monday looks better: high of 58F and partly cloudy.

Thomas - Happy Birthday !

RNG - nice looking unit ... should serve you well ...

rip - still hoping you will eventually have a recovery to report.

Buckeye - you could always give driving a large screwdriver or similar all the way thru the filter and see if that gives you enough purchase to torque it off. Might not be the way to go though if you're looking to preserve the hydraulic fluid.

Did not make it back down to finish up cleaning the 4th birdhouse last night so that will be on the list for today. Along with treating the pipe flanges which go on the bottom as mounts with phosphoric acid to convert the rust.

... RS, I should have told you that Walmart sells the paint I used. ...
No worries ... and I have to swing by the Home Depot for three ceiling fixtures anyways.

Was the color you used "Oasis Blue" ?

And curious if you used anything to seal the roof ?

The two houses that I built are cedar ... so I expect they will really suck up the paint. The two I bought are different wood though ... appears to be a good bit harder/denser and I don't expect that it will drink it up quite as much as the cedar.

Probably biggest thing at this point will be getting them dry enough to paint.

Hope everyone has a productive and enjoyable day.

65°F and .19 inches rain.

No big plans, mostly emery conservation day.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

That polarizing filter works really well, Ron. Is the water warmer near the bottom of the pond because of heat from the ground?
When water temperature is below 50° gold fish are lethargic. They stay in area where there is little water movement. In this picture they are near rocks and to right of where waterfalls drops into pond.

I am back in from weeding. I must have missed that winds were going to be up to 30mph. Weeds were blowing away before I could get them in bucket.

51° drizzly yucky day. So glad I got some garden planted yesterday.

Thanks for all the filter wrench suggestions. Now I’m wondering if laying on the ground I was trying the wrong direction, I’m not sure now.

Nice M62 RNG. Hope it shows up soon. I first said kioti because of the black bucket and I thought you said no to kubota, but once you revealed enough I knew it had to be the M62, slight differences from the L.
