Target and Walmart now have senior hour. Walmart on Tuesday and Target on Wednesday. They open an hour early for seniors (60+). But If i get up at 5AM to shop at 6AM I don't want the shelves to be empty.

As we were about to enter Costco yesterday, the card checker pointed to wife’s crutch and said, Next time, just come to the front.
As we left we noticed a small line of disability and I suspect older folks.

Good evening all. 66F for the start, overcast with light sprinkle, light wind, and 1.1 inch in rain gauge. Wind really cranked up, rain moved out of area for a while, with some peeks of sunshine early afternoon. Rain late afternoon, no more rain in forecast till Saturday night. Started with bike maintenance on wife's bike and then lubed chain on my bike, organized some in garage, then went for bike ride. Low water #2 closed when starting ride, but when I got there from back side it was open and finished ride on west side of lake.
Shopping trip for surge protector, meds, and fill out panty, could not get wife her unbleached flour. Man there were a lot of empty shelves in 2 stores. Beat rain home and had short nap.
Ron are you and some kind of grief sharing program?
Billy glad losing your touch did not result in anyone getting hurt.

Good morning, the temp is 35°F and going to 43. Wind ESE 20 mph. Rain at times heavy. (That didn't happen, yet.)

We got the rain, but it is a nice snow stripping gentle rain.

I might run another circuit off the genny today, but don't hold your breath. Might just conserve energy too.

Just for the heck of it, I went looking for TP in the three local stores I deal with. Food store in Sundridge 0 TP, 0 wipes of any kind. Hardware store 0 TP and 0 wipes (hardware store almost always has at least one full skid of TP in the center isle.) Food store in South River, 0 wipes but lots of TP, one package of 24 rolls per customer. I figured I had better grab a pack as I only have 24 Costco rolls left, but it is not a panic. I don't have any oak or maple trees on the property and my fig tree died, so TP is the only alternative.

I got smacked in the parking lot of the store in S.R. yesterday and the guy was going to split the scene until he saw me exit the vehicle, with my phone in my hand. With the tint that is on my windows and the Dodge is black, you cannot see me inside unless you look real good. I asked him if he knew what his mirrors were for and he told me that he was talking to his wife and backing out of a parking spot at the same time. There isn't much damage, but that is not the point. I am off to the Dodge dealers' body shop this morning for an estimate. Keep in mind, this Dodge is a 2013 and up until yesterday there was not a blemish on it. 3 years ago near Christmas the Jeep got smacked the same way only the opposite corner. I can't wait for the Jeep to come home. It now has an I beam bumper, go ahead and smack it again. I dare you.

Have a safe day all and stay healthy

Good morning, lots of sunshine on offer today, may even need the sunscreen cream.

RNG, the case in the pic was a triple two. They are content being filled with slightly less powder than a 223 case, which is just as well if we are now entering another world ammo shortage. The last time that happened all the decent quality stuff dried up until the American market was sated, even though some of it was made in Europe. Oh no, could that be what is happening to our TP supplies ? More moss is going to be needed, I best not "wet n forget" anywhere this spring :)

Hawkeye, is this your "career transition" day ?

Out of curiosity, I took Don's COVID-19 figures for Texas and compared them with the UK. I hadn't appreciated before just how many people live in Texas, almost half of the entire population of the UK. If all things were equal (and they are not) the Texas figures would be half that of the UK.

The one thing for sure is that a lot more testing is going on in the UK.

In both places, only a small proportion of those tested come out as confirmed (5-6%).

The death rate of those with the virus is much higher in the UK, although it has been said that all of them have occurred in people with other medical complications - maybe the climate or medical care in Texas is better, probably it is just too early for numbers to tell the complete story.

64 outside this AM with temps heading to lower 80's. Some say rain is coming, if that is the case and the wind is right the burn pile goes up today.

Not much else happening. Trying to stay positive. Need to work on demolition on the front porch too, sometime. That's gonna require people coming here though, I need a dumpster and whatnot.

Be safe, have a good day, stay healthy my friends.
