67°F and .51 inches rain.

Hoping wx is conducive to putting up my 1st gutter and then some metal, but not looking too promising at this point.

Randy, great to read of your significant progress. SIL still in hurting stage after 3 weeks. Of course hers was the split your chest version. Surgeon tells her she is healing fine, but she still feels more discomfort than benefit.

The changes since summer are nothing short of a miracle. I feel like a normal human again. Not at 100% but vastly improved and improving day over day.

nice to sit here and do nothing...was watching doug demuro, Minister of Enunciation, reviews of cars, and whatever else came up interesting at random.
Sometimes all the options are guided where you don't want to go so I just reset the channel and it starts with more options.
Particularly like the train and plane videos, even though I don't fly if I can help it.
Every day try to learn something new. Seems I'm forgetting as fast as it's coming in some days...

one of my favorite old standby videos on youtube are the ones on starting big diesels in the cold. The thuds are clear on my pc Klipsch system with sub.
Wasn't expensive and what I listen the most to is decent quality. Can't turn anything up due to tinnitus. An EMD train diesel pumping away at 90 rpm is a marvelous
sound. GM's biggest engines. Powered a lot of tug boats too. A primal low down noise. As they belched pollution into the sky and were late in the game
to get ecological. Now a GE locomotive is clean as can be. Hope that company stays afloat.

SIL did not see the other vehicle and pulled out in front of him.

I think most people fail to realize that there is a particular spot that you do not see when you glance one direction. I used to have a little card with a stick man drawn on it that I used in training. Many people will simply not believe it without proof. But I taught drivers to never take a quick glance in one direction. Instead look and hesitate a second in one direction then do the same in the other direction . . . OR . . . look each direction TWICE.

Making bit of progress. The side 1/2 panel to mount gutter. Will try mounting gutter, but wind seems to be picking up.

The old one's out of the way, and now I have to figure out how to make a level pad for the new one. Anybody got any pointers on how to do that with the FEL or box blade? I'm starting with about 5 degrees of slope. Sorta like

In other words, about 3' of more or less level ground up next to the retaining wall, then sloping downhill at about a five degree angle. It also slopes left to right, but not as steeply...
